This is our second time of staying. It is convenient for us for an overnight ready for a mid-morning Stanstead flight. Comfortable room with plenty of parking and walking distance to the two pubs in roydon for evening food options or the Marina cafe.

Location is great in a suburb place with great outdoor space good for walks. Not far from public transportation. Staff were welcoming and friendly. They were apologetic of the short comings. The place was clean.

Very clean comfortable stay. Just one thing that you could add to a room. A mirror at the dressing table to dry your hair better. No plugs was near the wall mirror. Was a bit of a problem. Otherwise was all good.

I was there for a family wedding and hadn't been to Epping before. People were friendly and place had a nice character to it. I saw courtesy from motorists to other motorists/pedestrians that was refreshing in this day & age and is a credit to the people of Epping. Thumbs up for Epping from me.

Really nice town, lots of independent shops and restaurants as well as more familiar high street names. The main road is always busy, which was a bit of minus, but to be expected so close to London. The forest and country walks are all around even though it’s only a few miles from the M25 and M11, it still felt as if you were very rural.
the accommodation was excellent, very neat and clean. The host was kind, accommodating, always ready to help. A very nice and pleasant person. The breakfast is perfect and abundant.
if I ever come back to Epping or close by, I will always look for that particular house.
beautifully arranged garden, flowers, grass, hedges, very tidy.
we had a great time.
the room is large, spacious, the bed is comfortable!
Location fine if you have a car. Nearby steak house could be walked to but nothing else around. Big room, desk and 2 armchairs and bed very comfortable. Staff always very helpful and polite. Is within Epping forest so walks accessible on the door step! View of trees and green from the window was nice. Got a small discount for having to change rooms.
I loved everything about this place. my favourite hotel I’ve stoped in. the food was fantastic, the staff were incredibly and went above and beyond to ensure your stay was perfect, the rooms were so glamorous and clean this was an absolutely perfect stay here and can’t wait to go back. worth every penny
This is our second stay here and had booked and on arrival we was given a free upgrade to a larger room with a garden view of Epping Forest bed was very comfortable staff very friendly and helpful and great sleep nice feel about the place great value for money would definitely stay again
With very little options in the Epping area this guest house is a 5 min drive to the centre. Very quiet location. Perfect for a short break if you have family nearby. The host Des, was very nice and keen to ensure your stay was comfortable.
there were some nice added things such as shampoo, water, biscuits and in general the room was lovely and the bed comfortable. Was a really hot weekend and the hotel room was cool. Looked into the forest which was nice.
Loved this place, wish I could have stayed longer. No room at the airport hotels and this was my closest option. Lovely. I arrived late and left very early, but I was very comfortable and felt safe and welcomed.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. The room and hotel was decorated to a high standard. Location is excellent. Lots of shops and train station within walking distance.
Des is a lovely host and so helpful. The house is lovely and spacious, our bedroom was huge with a lovely big bath and views across the pasture. Its a great location for Epping and The Barns (weddings).
Breakfast was good but ... The decor and furniture - excellent. The exit from the first floor to the rear of the hotel was very helpful. The staff were friendly, professional, helpful and available.
The location was most interesting, Forest lodge used to be a livery yard and I worked there. It was close enough to Epping so I was easily able to get to the underground station for a trip to London.
Accommodation around Epping is limited but this allowed us to stay locally. Slept well and water was hot. Parking is tight but there was space. Dinner smelt good and we'd like to have tried it!!
