Overlooking Loch Feochan with panoramic views of rugged mountains and tranquil islands, Knipoch House Hotel is just a short drive from Oban, the seafood capital of Scotland and a gateway to the Isles....
The food at the hotel restaurant was lovely. The chef sources ingredients locally and they have their own garden. It was very up scale for being so far off beaten path. The staff were very friendly and accommodating getting us in for dinner even with our late arrival. The highland cows grazing and view were spectacular. The beds were comfortable and it was so quiet. Just beware that the roads in the area are narrow and winding and at times "single track with passing places" and speed limits are 60mi/hr.

Tiny little village, not alot going on unless your part of the yatching community. There is a small shop which closes quite early on the weekends & a local pub.
Great views of Loch Craignish as the village is on it's banks. Bit if your looking for a little more bustle then head off to one of the slighly larger villages. Plenty of walks and countryside.
The Hotel was excellent. The staff were all very cheerful. The view was amazing. The food was great. We enjoyed the folk night on Friday. Our dog enjoyed the stay. The walk down to the beach was good. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. Also the room was not too hot. There was a great verandah to sit on. It was ideal for a family holiday. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It was very quiet. There was a library to sit in and a shop to buy maps and guide books

Most friendly staff we’ve ever experienced after staying at well over 50 hotels in Scotland. Special shout out has to go to Emma who looked after us so well during our stay. We stayed in room 24, overall rooms were clean & views unbeatable. Hotel kindly accommodated us with use of the library for an all day meeting we had, nothing was ever a problem. Food was excellent at hotel restaurant, we went back 3 days in a row, nothing compared locally! We’ll definitely be back.
Lovely welcoming staff - from the lady who booked us in and tended bar, the chef who went out of their way to produce a tasty meal for me despite my long list of food allergies, and the hard working housekeeper who politely told us we’d overstayed by half an hour! Thanks to all of you.
The hotel was quaint, cosy and beautifully presented…. it had clearly been refurbished not too long ago. Our dog was made VERY welcome and fed copious amounts of dog biscuits!
The staff were fantastic, really friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Nothing was to much trouble, Kirsty in particular made our stay really enjoyable. The room we stayed in was quite small, it was tastefully decorated with great lighting options, the bathroom was a good size, modern and had a fab shower. The bed was a little on the soft side for my liking but we both slept well. The cleanliness of all areas of the hotel was very good.
The room was beautifully decorated and we were able to sit on the wide balcony enjoying an wonderful view of the islands and lochs around. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a walk on the headland in the evening and explored Arduaine gardens the following morning - a great setting for a hotel. Also excellent value for money and we will definitely be back.
The dinner we had at this hotel was amazing! One of the best we had in all of Scotland. Had a lovely furled of flowers on the way to the Loch and a field with hairy coo that came right to the fence. Hotel itself was fine - but worth the stay for the dinner alone.
Hotel is in superb location with beautiful view from dining room . Gardens nearby were also a bonus.
Relaxing atmosphere and room to sit and read.
Overall the food was very good ( see below). Loved the veggie sausages for breakfast.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, views from the hotel are some of the best I’ve seen, the room was spotless, large and very comfortable, food was delicious, staff where friendly and efficient, will deffinately be returning
Great location. Very friendly, helpful staff. Couldn't have done enough for us. Amazing views from the hotel and the village is an amazing base to explore other areas from.
