Not much to do around the resort as it is far away from most main attractions however the resort is quite and very large with plenty of sports facilities such as a tennis court, game rooms, pools etc. they also offer night entertainment that I felt could be improved. a number of restaurant to choose from and special pool and beach dinner nights were exceptional and very fun.

Perfect sunshine (if you are travelling from North Europe or Canada). Tourists are usually pestered in the beach areas (to be sold something). There is significant seaweed farming, so it is unfornatley a pleasant beach and ocean made deeply unpleasant by humans.

This beach is lovely, white sand, clear blue water that so warm. Lots of little kids around, not too many beach boys. Amazingggg views of the sunrise every morning. The community is lovely. Lots of nearby hotels and restaurants.

The village is tourist friendly even though I blend in quite well. We managed to walk a lot within the village as well as on the beach. There’s a number of grocery shops and one grocery store that takes cards with a 5% charge. The smaller hotels don’t take card so you’d need to carry cash.
Found it to be a very relaxing atmosphere without loud music, just avoid the masai if you didn’t come shopping or speak to them and support their local business 😅. They’ll surely try to sell you something.
Would have stayed longer if I didn’t need to get back to work the beach is endless especially in the mornings when the tide is out. Loved that there were options; surfing, kites, horse riding, snorkeling, amongst other activities.

I was traveling on my own, and I never felt alone.
I was traveling on my own, and I never felt alone. The staff had become friends. Every morning at breakfast (included) each guest, said hello to each other and some shared their experiences. Not required but a nice touch that just happened. Management checked in often, I felt well taken care of, but not over bothered. They made great suggestions on things to do. They arranged transportation for me to spend the day in Stone town and offered me a guide if I felt I needed one.
They paid special attention to me on my birthday, not expected n low key but a very nice touch.
I’d definitely go back n highly recommend!

A quieter place to relax, both in the resort and on the beach. A large garden full of shade from large trees, but not very comfortable in the rainy season. On the contrary, it is ideal in the dry season. Beautiful two pools, especially the large one at the back of the resort. The private beach is one of the best in the immediate area. The village 500m away is quiet, more trash on the beach.

The location of the resort on the East coast of Zanzibar is fantastic, and a real sanctuary where you can unwind. The number of restaurants is also great, with the ability to book via an app, and the staff at every one are wonderfully attentive. Also our room (a Junior Suite) was perfect for the 4 of us, including a 17 & 14 year old, not that we spent much time there! Finally it was lovely to see how well maintained the grounds of the resort are - well done to all involved in delivering a great holiday experience!
The hotel/location were idyllic .... excellent room (Junior suite), very comfortable bed, good facilities, good entertanment programme, great bar, superb hotel (private) beach, good choice of food, great staff who were very keen to make sure you were having a great stay ...
The beach is the stuff of picture postcard magic .... gorgeous sand, blue blue skies, green palm trees swaying in the breeze ... waiters from the Zanzi-Bar coming to check if you would like a drink ... it as absolute bliss!!
The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking!! The hotel is right on the beach, making it easy to access the sea and go for a stroll on the beach.
The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious. I enjoyed watching the sun- and moonrise from my bedroom’s balcony every single day. The food at the restaurant was absolutely scrumptious and I enjoyed the fresh fruit juices. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel!!
most beautiful villa and apartment ever, tastefully decorated by a European owner (very important in Tanzania, if you like style and comfort). very quiet (compare to best resort villages) location. if you want the beach to yourself and be away from hustle and bustle, this is a place. being in the mud section of the island also gives you an advantage of being an hour away from everywhere you’d like to go and a private island for snorkel is just 10-15 min away.
The hotel exceeded my expectations and the quality-price ratio is very advantageous. I didn't identify any negative points, not even at low tide, which I saw as a show to walk through the fine sand of the ocean to its depths. The rooms are clean, the beach wide, with enough sunbeds and own security, the pools are very clean and the staff very friendly. It's a place where you can really find the peace you're looking for, escaping the crowds in Europe
I absolutely loved staying at Lucrezia's garden! Cosmin, Winnie and their lovely son really make you feel like home, and they're extremely nice and helpful if you need anything. The hotel is located in a calm, beautiful garden, only 2 minutes by walk from a gorgeous white sand beach. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and clean, the beds are confortable, and the food is delicious... all that at a very affordable price. I highly recommand!
The staff was phenomenal. Overall a great experience. The beach was amazing. The restaurant might be the highlight of the resort. Dining with the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze on your face is priceless. Very international tenants. The pool is nice to relax. The host was very attentive to our concerns and helped us with booking our excursions as well as our accommodations to the airport upon departure.
The apartment was absolutely fantastic. And it was less than one minute away from the beach which made it easier to watch the sunrise. Sonia’s. communication was perfect. She was so kind and recommended some great restaurants. The apartment was decorated with so much style and the amenities were great. What a hidden gem. It really was an amazing experience, the swimming pool was also very clean.
Marijani is a modern luxurious hotel with great decoration. The staff pays attention to every detail. The room and beach were really clean every day. The food was exceptional, huge appreciation to the chef. The location and the security is great as well. The service and room design was great. The bed was really comfortable and big. I can only suggest this place for everyone.
Loved the stay, Mody/ Mohammad was super helpful and nice to us. Probably the warmest welcome so far in Zanzibar and also super super proactive and helpful and just so good to us. So big thank you to Mohammad. Also super clean rooms , very clean common areas. Good view from the top floor resturant. And short walk to a quiet beach. Value for money. Very comfortable.
Nice and clean beach side resort, with lots of likes. it’s not new, but it’s maintained and clean. rooms are nice and cozy and have AC. food in the restaurant is good, pizza especially, but a bit on pricey side. we had similar/lower prices of food at 5* hotel on the opposite side of island
The location is gorgeous, waking up to the sounds of the beach is my new obsession. Staff is very kind and helpful. They helped us to book the most amazing tour of the island; we saw dolphins and visited mnemba island. The food was great. We definitely will be back.
Amazing Beach Front Resort , with clean sandy beach to have a walk and swim, crystal warm blue water. Spend a great time relaxing and chilling. food was amazing and the chef made special order for me , serene garden and landscaping.
Really nice small and quiet place with a swimming pool which we liked.
They also have their restaurant.
To get to the beach it takes a little walk as the hotel is not in a front line.
very relaxed boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms and all the facilities necessary for a good beach break.
pool as well was great, beach is just there and lovely white sand
everything was excellent, big shout out for Wojtek the manger and his team they ensure we leave with great memories from the hotel experience and the island.
