Anda is still unspoilt by tourism. There are no kiosks selling cuddly toys or kiss me quick hats and to be honest, if that is what you expect from a holiday you should head to one of the popular destinations in the Mediterranean. If you want to see real life in the Philippines then Anda is probably one of the last remaining destinations. The signs of change are starting but it's still there now if you are quick.

TLDR: If you have food allergies, your food choices will be severely limited. Beach cleanliness needs work. Other points of interest will have trash laden everywhere as well.
Vegans will have a tough time in this area since access to this type of food is limited. Your main dish would likely be vegetarian pancit bihon/pancit canton.
Vegetarians will fair better.
The beach sand and view of the ocean is very nice, but trash is laden everywhere on the beach and needs more effort by the locals to keep the place clean. The trash mainly comes from the ocean where debris will wash ashore, but there are places where trash is left by local inhabitants. There are also no public restrooms on this beach or public trash cans maintained by the local government. Expect to carry your trash with you, if you are the environmentally conscious-type. You will also find significant ocean life on the beaches, so be very careful not to contaminate the environment with human-made products.
Other points of interest will have trash scattered everywhere, but this is common in the Philippines. However, you will find less here than the average.

If the goal is mainly to relax , Casa Amihan is an excellent choice, with wonderful staff, always willing to accommodate your requests.
It is quite in the middle of nowhere (2hrs drive from the airport) but it is still possible to organize some activities if you don't mind spending some time on commuting (we went swimming with the shark whales in Lila area).
I'll definitely recommend this place!

Anda is a beautiful area but you'll have to drive quite a ways from the airport in Panglao. Don't expect hordes of tourists but also don't expect a lot of facilities or restaurants either. The roads to get into some of the resorts are atrocious.

Anda is a beautiful place.
Anda is a beautiful place. However, one has to do their research on the their accommodation, location and other things that can affect their experience while in Anda. We dodged the bullet when we didnt choose the other resort.
You really need to actually READ the review of the accommodation you are eyeing for with a degree of reasonability, re: price commensurate to the location, quality, facility of the resort.
Blue Star is the perfect place to stay in Anda, if you want to relax, have good food, like it quiet also with pool and even more if you want to snorkel with turtles… small resort owned beach with great snorkeling and diving possibilities 😊👍🏼 the staff was very welcoming and friendly, the ocean view from the bungalow balcony was great! I really have nothing to complain ☺️ if you have a scooter or rental car it’s only a short drive to Anda village and to many beautiful places around!
Blue Raven was exactly what we were looking for our 5 day stay on Bohol to enjoy a quiet holiday, sea, sun, and snorkeling. Definitely worth traveling a bit further (2 hours from Tagbi) to this quiet place. Helpful and friendly owners, freshly cooked delicious food with vegetarian options, very personal attitude of the staff, beautiful garden, comfy bed, we felt really welcomed as guests. This place has a spirit and we would like to come back when visiting the Philippines again.
I'm physically challenged so I requested a PWD friendly room. They went out of their way to ensure that my stay was safe and comfortable with access to the pool and restaurant. Sadly the beach is not accesible for PWD. But overall, I had a really good stay. The staff sang for me when they found out it was my birthday AND the management told me that our dinner (not just mine but the whole party of four) was complimentary! I was touched and pleasantly surprised.
The rooms are beautiful, they have a pool and are only a few hundred meters away from a beautiful beach where you can snorchel.
It's quiet and relaxed with beautiful plants in their garden. Great for having a map in your hammock.
The food in their restaurant is great and they are currently setting up a movie room for movie nights.
The entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful
They will assist you if you would like to book different tours of Bohol.
I like the place because its not the usual hotel which is all concrete. Here, you can feel the nature and that you are near at the beach. Their rooms are clean and well maintained. All staff are so accommodating. Thank you Ate Evangeline, Kuya Loreto and Shaun for assisting us throughout our stay. 😊 Also, the place is just 1min walk from the beach. BEST PLACE TO STAY IN ANDA. Really enjoyed our stay 😊
I love everything about the place. When we arrive we were greeted by the friendly, kind and approachable staff. The place is best for vacation because it is peaceful, not crowded, clean, cold a/c, fast wifi and the beach is the best very white and sandy specially when its high tide. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to my friends and family.
The most welcoming and amazing Staff we had ever encountered at a hotel. Every single member of the staff were friendly, helpful and lovely with us. The location of the hotel is beautiful, with a great pool, astonoshing view to the sea, good restaurant and free kayas to enjoy the beach. Perfect place if you want privacy and to avoid turism.
This pretty nice and very quiet place. Rooms are in good conditions. The hotel has its own small beach and several pools, so you may stay there and enjoy Bohol. But it is much better to take a scooter and discover some nearby locations. The stuff helped to rent a scooter and it was delivered right to the hotel.
I liked the friendly staff, the pool, the location was nice proximity to town and not far from the beaches. Rooms are reasonably quiet considering they're native houses. Better value than elsewhere although the towns hotels are a bit pricey compared to Panglao but it's much more beautiful here in Anda
Fantastic staff. Welcoming and also respectful of privacy. The food was stellar. First time I didn’t mind eating at a hotel all the time. The beach was pristine and the dive centre folks were so helpful. Loved the slow pace of life. Definitely a place I’d come back with friends and other family.
great location near town, but still quiet and set in a nice open setting, great value for money as Anda is not really a budget destination. its tied up with the old castle resort in the town the diving is good value also I would stay again next time I am in Anda
Beautiful setting. Friendly and very accommodating staff, as you usually get in the Philippines. This includes Hotel & Housekeeping, Kitchen, Grounds Keepers, Divemaster, Boat Captain & Deckhand. All worked hard to make our stay a relaxing vacation.
amazing staff, so kind, generous and welcoming - (very cute dogs also) complimentary water and coffee! good location, short walk into Anda, very close to cave pools and beach. room was spacious and clean, hot water!!
Family-style, delicious dinner is the best eating experienced on Bohol. Great team, and outstanding diving lessons for beginners, and fun and night dives for experienced divers.
