young is a very tidy friendly town and comes to life with the cherry festival and fruit sales, has active horse activities and other sports regularly. We ate at the services club and the australian hotel and the meals were tasty and good value with a good variety available. heaps of other restaurants and venues to try next time.

Great little town, we only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer. The Australian hotel had great food and atmosphere. We also enjoyed shopping in the many boutiques.
We would love to go back and do some cherry picking.

A visit to Wilders Bakery is a big tick on our list, sit on the verandah and enjoy the view, take a drive to wombat and the Pub do a loop drive around to Harden an see the Silo Art.
At this time of the year the Canola crops are a sight to see
Dinner at the Australian Hotel is good huge meals served quickly cherry pie and ice cream yum.
Avoid Friday night as that seems to be raffle ticket night, lots of noise and crowded areas

Lovely flowering trees and surrounding fields full of golden canola during early September. Useful shopping centre with two supermarkets plus the best men's wear store is in Young compared to surrounding towns.

The staff at the Information centre where very helpful and friendly plus a bonus courtesy bus to the clubs was very good. Just walking around the town and seeing the old buildings and the Chinese gardens where very good. We where only there overnight but it was still a pleasant stay.

Young is a beautiful country town with many friendly people around. Shops with different items then the city stores are always nicer, staff are more friendly to help you & so kind to talk to you. You always find something so different to buy. Famous for their cherries when in season & their markets beginning of each month.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
My husband rang the hotel the day before we arrived and asked if we could have safe parking for our trike. Without hesitation, the young man he was chatting to said yes, you can park it in our shed. On arrival, the young lady who greeted us directed my husband around the back to the shed and made sure the shed was locked up for the night.
All the staff, including the cleaning staff at the hotel, are very friendly and professional. I would recommend the Australian hotel in Young for a stay.
Awesome rooms, close to the Main Street of Young. Good selection of appliances (fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster) as well as tea and coffee and hot chocolate sachets. A small bottle of fresh milk is provided when you check in. TV has Foxtel. Extra towels are under the sink. Reverse air con is very effective. We used it on a cold spring night and the heat worked well. Shower pan was very clean (perhaps brand new?). They provided a portacot for our baby and it was made up with cute printed linen too.
Nice decent sized room, very clean with a comfy queen size bed and lounge chair as well. It was great having breakfast included so you didn't have to worry about bringing your own supplies. Breakfast was ample and some good basic choices of cereal, various breads and jams/honey. It would be our go to place if in Young again, as this is our 2nd time there and didn't disappoint. Easy parking outside the room. Be aware that check-in is 2pm and NOT sooner.
Comfortable bed, good air con that you can sleep to when on, spacious room, good bath, room service available for breakfast and dinner, good location near river and shops. Minibar was well stocked, and had some local products, white wine was very nice.
Great service from friendly staff after arriving unexpectedly. The bed was the best we've slept in during our 5 weeks away and the room was really well lit and well equipped. We would definitely recommend a stay here if you're in Young.
I liked the location of the property set out of town. The room was spacious and well maintained. The staff are lovely and friendly very inviting. That’s why I choose to stay here when visiting family in young.
Excellent place to stay off the major north routes (or south if your heading that way!) from Melbourne with well appointed room and facilities and very comfy bed. Short walk to CBD and eateries and hotels.
Great price for budget accommodation in Young, better than staying on top of the pub in my opinion. Room was clean and clean sheets were provided to me.
