It was exactly what we were after as we had a function at the Hotel right next door. There is a cafe which is next door where you can get great coffee and breakfast. The staff were very friendly when booking in. The unit did come with a well set up kitchen and was very clean. Would highly recommend this place to stay if you are in Sea Lake.

Excellent place to stop as part of the Silo Art Trail, with great silo art and other murals around the buildings in Sea Lake. Close to explore Lake Tyrell by both day and night. Fill up on petrol for the drive at the Ampol service station and stock up at the IGA across the road from the hotel. The SkyMirror gallery is full of amazing images and also serves coffee.

The town is tiny, but you're not there to see the town, right? You're there for Lake Tyrell, and that is just as spectacular as one could hope. The town itself is cute, with the hotel providing a great central location for food and drink.

sea Lake a great place to stay we were very impressed.

sea Lake a great place to stay we were very impressed. The evening meal and service at the at the Hotel was excellent. There was also a menu for a hotel in the neighbouring town of Culgoa. Good to see small towns working together. French Toas for Breakfast at the Gallery cafe was lovely the best I have had in my recent travels. Even though it is quite a small town I liked the way all the shops were clustered together and very well presented. The facilities at Lake Tyrell also excellent and the pink colour of the water was much more vivid than I had expected. Also I love Mallee landscapes.

It's a short distance 10-15 minute drive to Lake Tyrrell which is nice to catch the sunset & sunrise. There are not much facilities in town, hopefully with more tourist to Lake Tyrrell, it will help to rejuvenate this old town. We have our dinner at The Juke - the food is as good most big restaurants in the City, & nice beer from the pub. Our breakfast was at Bottom Cafe run by a couple - the best country's "Farmer Breakfast" - I believed we cannot find any breakfast like this anymore in the City. A breakfast prepared and cooked with the heart. THANK YOU. Hopefully Lake Tyrrell will be an attraction for Victoria just like Great Ocean Road or Phillip Island's penguin. It is definitely a place worth a visit if you are in Victoria - best thing, you never know what you get; either it is dry beauty or wet beauty - as in the lake is dry or wet; until you are there. But either way, it is BEAUTIFUL.

    Visited in early Jan.

Visited in early Jan. It will get hot and the 3 days we were there the weather was 35c to 37c. It's a very small town with limited facilities. There are two places to dine but we didn't try any of them. Best to be ready to cook some of your own food too. There is a Food Works grocery shop which closes between 5.30pm to 7pm during week days and between 1-2pm during weekends. If you are arriving late, best to buy some supplies earlier along the way. There is an Ampol petrol station just as you leave the town towards Mildura. Lake Tyrrell is the main attraction here (7km from Sea Lake) and a night in Sea Lake with a trip to Lake Tyrrell will be ideal. If you are interested in stargazing, best to avoid 'Full Moon' days for the best views. The few people we met were very friendly.

Your questions are a bit confusing, mixing up my stay and the town and scenery and the rating comes out lower than I meant to give. Anyway, no complaint to my Tyrrell Accommodation (went extra mile to give me information about the town and shopping hours etc) and the people at the shop is good.
