Was only planned as an overnight trip. Wasn't impressed with the town but hey it's only for the evening and it was a Sunday afternoon when we arrived. Drove up to the main street to check for a place to eat as even though the motel was advertised as having a restaurant it didn't ( can't get a cook apparently and the reheat meals they offer weren't even available on a Sunday. The town had two dodgy looking pubs but given the " bar flies" hanging around them we didn't eat there.

Didn't really have the time to explore in and Mundubbera as we booked the rooms due to other accomodation in Gayndah (where our meetings were being held) and region all booked out. Glad we were able to find Mundubberra accomodation and will definitely book again to explore the region more.

There is just not a lot to see and do for the casual visitor and the hotels are not set up for them. It probably works well as a service town for the citrus industry but does not appear to have any other aspirations. There is a nice example of silo art - the 1997 Rain mural on the pump house must predate most other examples.

Not much to see or do in Mundubberra if you are not a backpacker there to pick fruit. The park near the river & big bridge is very nice. Beautiful painted water pump house. Bakery is great for coffee & breakfast
