'The Mount' is an historic place in Australia, was once the most gold prosperous town in Aust. Quaint shops up the main st, bakery, and a couple of pubs (3) were a lot more back in their day. The railway is an interesting place, sadly no trains anymore. There is a large museum in the main st, well worth the entry fee, which isn't much.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Loved the fresh / real frangipani's on the beautiful snow white towels . The owners were genuine down to earth and caring, friendly people who made sure we were well looked after, highly recommend! Close to all the sight seeing and the local food was top notch too :)

This is a wonderful little town, rich in history.
This is a wonderful little town, rich in history. I felt very safe at all times. Rainbow Cafe still makes a great burger. Newsagency/coffee shop makes a beautiful pot of tea/coffee. The Grand Hotel is the place to stay. I'll be back!
