Maryborough has two beautiful parks with lakes, lots of bird life including swans and ducks. there are plenty of playgrounds, and an excellent swimming pool complex including a section for babies and toddlers. Great assortment of shops and eating places, we enjoyed very good fish and chips and yummy Chinese food. Maryborough is situated near many historical towns including Castlemaine, Newstead, Clunes, Avoca and Talbot, all worth a visit. and is centered between Bendigo and Ballarat, an hours drive each way. Maryborough has something to offer children and adults alike.

We had the best view of Maryborough, the corner suite was just magnificent. The ambience of the room was just beautiful. The decor in the room was of high quality and the very large spa in the very spacious bathroom was of a very high standard. The Super King size bed was so soft and comfortable and just a place to dream on. All the fittings and fixtures were done to remind quest's of a bygone era. All the amentities in the room were of a very high standard. The lift was fantastic and running so smoothly, a secret surprise. We enjoyed our stay very much so, we will surely stay again. Thank you to all the staff and their attention to detail. It made our stay very pleasant. Also the off street parking was an added bonus. Loved it, wished that I could have spent a week instead of a weekend. Thank you what a wonderful stay.

We went to Maryborough solely for a funeral.

We went to Maryborough solely for a funeral. Town is quite tired. Easy to find our way around. We had an excellent breakfast at The Station - the biggest “big breakfast” we’ve ever had! Great value. But the hot chocolate was so weak I couldn’t taste the chocolate!

You must go to Wolseley Cottage ( cottage closed but research history centre open, check times, think it's only open Tues & Thur morning 10am to 12noon), magnificent Maryborough Railway station and Cafe. Lots of old buildings and shops to browse within a short walk of each other throughout the town. Check out collectible toy shop...in fact check out all the shops new & old ware & op shops. We had dinner at Park House Hotel...opposite Princes Park. No frills, good inexpensive food. Princes Park interesting place to wander too.

The hotel is a beautifully restored building with a great restaurant. The owners are on site and are really thoughtful and attentive to guests needs. We travel quite a bit internationally but the King room we stayed in here would have to be one of the top rooms we have ever stayed in. Also the location is great, being in the centre of the town with guest parking.

We were in Maryborough for Energy Breakthrough. The location of the Motel is local to the town and the event where we needed to be every morning for our time in Maryborough. The room was clean and inviting. The weather was warm so we got to use the aircon which worked quite well. Bar fridge to store our drinks to keep cool was handy.

I could not fault this property. Without a doubt, the best place we've stayed at in Maryborough and we visit often. We'll only stay here from now on. The home is so well appointed and the shower is to die for. The little touches make a difference, such as marshmallows for your hot chocolate and juice in the fridge.

Beautiful home with Art Deco features, with a modern renovation. Every possible comfort provided. Felt like home with the coffee machine, fire, comfortable beds and beautifully appointed bathrooms and kitchen. I suspect the owners have worked in a five star hotel?
