Maryborough has the Brogla Theatre which is a very popular destination, accommodation wise Maryborough prices are cheaper than Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is only a 1/2 drive, Maryborough has some nice restaurants, or pub meals, for better value prices. It's an easy town to get around, and nice to stay for a short stay.

Maryborough is a lovely country town to walk around with many beautiful traditional buildings. Fabulous and well kept gardens. Queens park is a must to visit and to walk by the river. Don't miss the Portside museum, Mary Poppins statue and the Mary Poppins figure on the walk and don't walk pedestrian signs at the traffic lights. Really helpful and friendly people with many comfortable cafes selling quality coffee and locally made savoury and sweet items. Fun, interesting Thursday morning markets with home made products and quality fresh produce to see and to buy. Overall, a traditional, friendly country town experience.

An historic town that is very under rated.
An historic town that is very under rated. Far too many interesting places to see in a short stay.
The museums/galleries were excellent - particularly the "Story Bank" - P L Travers (Mary Poppins) birthplace.

At the Carriers Arms, the meals were excellent, and the accommodation was value for money. Its location is ideal on the edge of the CBD and a short trip to the Brolga Theatre. The Brolga Theatre is also a perfect venue, just the right size.

We have been to Maryborough heaps of times, it is a lovely place to visit.
My Great Grandparents settled there when they came out from Ireland, my Grandfather was born there. I feel a connection with Maryborough every time we visit.
Thank You Cathy Barnes
I spent 2 nights in Maryborough to attend a meeting. I travelled by train from Brisbane. I am 76. I really appreciated Sonya offering to pick me up from the station. They could not have been more helpful. They were so pleasant and obliging. I was then given a lift to the station on my departure. I recommend the lovely motel to everyone.
the attendant who welcomed me was lovely. Made sure i was able to lock my door and had everything i needed. It is basic, but if you are looking for cheap with a good location for a one night stay, this is the place. Just off the highway, you dont need to go into maryborough. basic amenities but for a place to sleep, its fine.
Greatly underrated motel in Maryborough. Rooms smell clean and place is really well looked after. Has a pool and most of all the check in is the most efficient we've ever seen. At last a motel stepping into the 21st century catering for all arrival times
This is a very comfortable property within a handy part of Maryborough. The cute little house has everything you need and more. The owners keep it fastidiously clean which is a credit to them. We are very much looking forward to coming back.
I have stayed at McNevins many times over many years. Always friendly staff and rooms provide what you need.
Good location with hotel/bistro across road to complement on site breakfast cafe and restaurant. Pool nice when weather allows.
Great lil stay, clean rooms and swimming pool right near your door. There is also a kids play centre managed by the owners which is great for the lil ones. Highly recommend staying if your going through Maryborough and have children
A beautiful heritage building in the heart of Maryborough. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet and the lounge and library were lovely. The host, Wendy, is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is also great.
Location was convenient to where we wanted to go. Beds were extremely comfortable and roomy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Noise wasn’t too bad. Our room service dinner was delicious.
Absolutely everything. We would definitely recommend staying at Cara Hotel. The staff are wonderful, the room was spacious, beds very comfy and it is close to the town and Hervey Bay.
The location was handy with a hotel/restaurant across the road, Aldi within walking distance and several take out food options nearby. We stayed at the weekend so needed these options
Location was great. We travelled to Maryborough for Speedway. Carpark was easy to access with a car trailer. Room was very clean and tidy and perfect for what the family needed.
Smooth and easy booking, we travelled from Perth to Maryborough. Last minute decision so was nice to be able to book a room straight away without any hassles.
