Leeton is a great town with many art deco buildings, parks ,fantastic produce. and lots of enjoyable places to eat.Designed by Walter Burley Griffin Leeton has many of the town planning features that are also evident in Canberra. As well, visitors can enjoy trips to wineries or drive to the nearby Murrumbidgee Valley National Park to enjoy the scenery, swimming and boating. Varied and reasonably priced accommodation includes the historic Hydro Hotel. This unique town with something for everybody is well worth a visit.

We travelled to visit relatives so did not spend much time elsewhere.
We did go to the Whitton Malt House for a lunch and would highly recommend it. As well as good food the surrounding park and lakes were a great attraction.

Leeton was a surprise package.
Leeton was a surprise package. Being an artist and photographer having a wet land so close was the best and it was a spot I could stay all day. It was a clean really lovely place. We ate at the RSL and one of the Chinese places. Which was beautiful food and the servings were huge. You will need a doggy bag. Friendly staff too. Can’t remember the name but was closer end to McDonald’s

Leeton is a pretty town, the parks are magnificent and the food is well beyond what you’d expect. Try benvenudos (check the spelling) - it was awesome! Avoid the leeton hotel and go to the one across the road. I saw a violent punch up at the Leeton hotel.
Plan your days - this is an old fashioned town. Things close at five and there’s nothing to do from Sunday morning until about Wednesday 🤣 people are very friendly here. The whitton malt house is worth a visit. Nerrandera and Griffith are close by. Laser tag, bowling, water parks and a good cinema are accessible! If you’re a crime buff, there’s been at least two hideous and high profile murders in the area in the last twenty years. Google it - nasty stuff.
The aviary and playground in town are first rate. I definitely recommend it! A pleasant surprise!

Interesting 1920s and Art Deco style of architecture, irrigation country ambience which is a different view of inland NSW, like Griffith a country centre planned by Walter Burley Griffin, so again a different street plan to the usual country town in Australia.
This spacious apartment was perfect for our visit to Leeton. It had everything we needed including a large modern bathroom which also included a washing machine, a well equipped kitchenette with a large fridge and a comfortable bedroom.
It’s location was very close to town as well as close to our son’s house, which was the purpose of our visit to Leeton. The owners sent a welcoming message with the details of the apartment and then let us get on with our holiday. It was a perfect apartment for our visit. We would highly recommend it.
The Hydro Majestic Hotel is an incredible place. Opened in 1919. It is a grand old building with 64 unique rooms, all renovated with modern amenities. It has a magnificent foyer with stain glass windows and the bar, The Freckled Duck, featuring murals by a local artist, is a gem of regional NSW.
It is a short walk down a promenade to the Main Street. And you can check out the amazing anamorphic portrait of Walter Burly Griffin (who designed the town) on the water towers across the road.
The apartment is in a very convenient location, within easy walking distance to shops, cafes, pubs, the park, supermarket etc. On street parking right at the front is very easy. Comfortable beds, a beautiful shower, spacious bathroom and easy keyless entry. Quiet location. Communication with the host was very easy and professional.
A charming, albeit somewhat dated, art deco hotel, which is currently being renovated. It is full of delightful original features and from the top floor opens to a lovely comfortable length of hotel balcony, with a pleasant outlook. We were pleasantly surprised by our meal at its restaurant.
Leeton Heritage Motel is a fabulous place to stay when visiting the Riverina.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and it is located close to the centre of town.
After spending a day exploring, it was nice to come back and relax!
Possibly the best motel we've ever stayed at. Large, clean, well appointed rooms, quiet but convenient location, comfy beds, and easy parking. The managers, John and Coila, were wonderful, and our stay was great value for money.
Modern feel and plenty of room. Little extras like power cords made it easy to work in a comfortable environment.
Quiet and private environment. Normally stay in hotels in the area, by far a much better stay.
Centrally located in Leeton with easy walk access to all facilities. The property was very reasonably priced for what was provided. On street parking available or parking off the street behind the property.
Lovely apartment, beautifully furnished and in an excellent location. I wasn't previously familiar with Leeton but was very pleasantly surprised by what a charming place it is.
