Very quiet, 10 kilometres drive to Imbil a very small pretty town. Working farm so had to open/ close 2 sets of gates every time to enter/exit. Imbil bakery famous for its vanilla slice, which were delicious. Meals at the hotel were excellent. Could do day trips to many places, Kenilworth, montville, eumundi,Maleny. If you want a place away from the maddening crowds, but do tripping around it would be a good option.

Imbil Bakery has pastries, pies, pizza etc to die for - we went back 3 times in 3 days. Had dinner at the Railway Hotel - good pub food, even in midst of pandemic - steak was perfect - up there with best chips ever - crisp & fluffy. Saw the Rail Motor from Gympie, The Rattler train starting in 3 weeks - sorry we missed the train, but saw the turntable in use. The Imbil Sunday market was quaint, but had only returned recently post Covid19. The macadamia honey and the pickles have both been sampled since purchased - excellent. Is perfect as a base for exploring The Mary Valley
