    White sands estate.

White sands estate. Windy the first day we arrived but was a warm tassie 30degree day so that wasnt a problem. I imagine if its windy and not summer, one would need jackets and stay indoors. Driving to find food for dinner as we had not booked in the restaurant the night we arrived and they were fully booked. We ended up in Scamander and had some great food but service was poor only cos there was minimal communication from the owners and only two working in the kitchen. Falmouth is a beautiful spot with clear waters and very relaxed vibe, minimal buildings so it feels so isolated and is a good escape from busy life

A beautiful coastline, lots to see.

A beautiful coastline, lots to see. The only thing we found tricky was dinner - we like to eat out and the choices are very slim in this area and not all open as you would expect, you also have to drive to other towns albeit a short 20 to 30 minutes. So if you want to eat out for dinner pre-plan it. If you like cooking at home the house is set up very well for it, you just need to buy some groceries, there is even a BBQ.

This is a really lovely place.

This is a really lovely place. The chalet was large, bright and well equipped. it had sea views with private outside space. The rest of the complex was very well serviced with an outdoor pool, laundry, games room (a little small) and cafe. We visited out of season and the restaurant only opened Fri/Sat. A lovely place to stay with/without children I imagine it can get crowded in season but it was great in November.

Falmouth, Four Mile Creek and Scamander are all quiet...

Falmouth, Four Mile Creek and Scamander are all quiet escapes just a short distance from the slightly busier St Helen's which provides all the services you would need. Every bend on this route reveals a Kodak Moment!

Falmouth is just a seaside hamlet with minimal facilities.

Falmouth is just a seaside hamlet with minimal facilities. However it has wonderful beaches with rocky outcrops and fascinating pools. The best things about Falmouth is the privacy and excellent accommodation deals you can get. If you want solitary walks or just to laze about looking at the sea, Falmouth is for you. Falmouth is also brilliantly located for exploring the East Coast of Tasmania being in the middle of nowhere but close to everywhere. Take your food with you or drive out to the many bakeries, wine cellars and fancy eateries.

What didn’t we like about this property? I’ve travelled around the world and this absolutely by far without a close second is the most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s a piece of heaven and they have thought of everything you may need during your stay as it is isolated (15 minutes to dinner so not really that bad anyway) We came on our honeymoon and already plan to come back for our anniversary

The position of the property is absolutely the drawcard. The town of Falmouth is such a beautiful little gem and the beach walks were fabulous; Also a big bonus was the fact that a item from the pantry (soup) saved us, when we couldn't (didn't plan well) get any food on Sunday night in St Helens and Scamander. My request for an additional item in the kitchen was quickly attended to.

Fantastic for all ages. So hard to meet the needs of teenagers but they loved it too which meant I could enjoy my stay. Loved my view and the bifold windows, sun streaming in the middle of winter. Can see me returning again and again. Great place to take a group as meets the matter what age or interest. Both kids loved poking around the trout lake
