Our goal was to visit the national park as many times as possible during our 2-night stay. That we were able to do and the park is very worthwhile. Beautiful trails, lookout and boardwalk and nice visitor center and shop. Good birding. Did not eat at the park cafe, but the menu looked good. Dorrigo has a couple of supermarkets and one of them is close to where we stayed.

    Fabulous views and restful location.

Fabulous views and restful location. Good cafe in town and Chinese takeaway from the RSL was also good. Rainforest centre and cafe was excellent. The people were lovely and the bird life plentiful. Having cows coming to the fence at the back of our cabin was a feel good experience.

The Dorrigo Folk Festival was wonderful ( we have been coming for 5 years ). Locals very friendly easy to get around as village small. Great cafes. Very scenic and relaxing. I would not recommend the Dorrigo Caravan park cabins ( see reviews ) They have a captive audience when Festival is on ( as no other alternative accommodation is available ) so highly recommend you book ahead other accommodation or camp at the show ground.

Dorrigo is a lovely place to base a weekend high country holiday from. It has cafes and the Heritage Hotel has excellent meals. Their Lamb Shanks or Sirloin Steak are to die for..... The Waterfall Way is stunningly scenic, and a great driving experience. In winter there are log fires to be enjoyed. Bellingen is just 30kms down the stunning range road through amazing forrest and scenic views. There's plenty to see at Dorrigo NP. It is close to coastal centres and other inland attractions. It's so quiet after hours you don't need to look left or right to cross the street...... No city traffic........👍
