Donald is a quite little town.
Donald is a quite little town. Many closed stores, but still has life in the town. 3 pubs and a small supermarket. Not the place to be if you want to be entertained. Good walking tracks around town to tourist and historic places.

Very quiet little town, but the local pub has a good meal on offer. A few mosquitoes and bugs around at dusk(but that’s most of Australia anyway) , but the hotel supplied a ‘burn off’ smoke repellant for the terrace area, which worked pretty well.

Donald is a quiet town but has a lot of little attractions to do if there for a stay over. Lots of well maintained tracks down alone the river. Old train station park for kids to explore.
Good old home style (large) meals available at the pubs or the local cafes.

Riverside location with lovely views from the balcony was the main feature of this motel.
Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable which really spoilt my visit.
In spite of the fact that the facilities were adequate and the room was clean, I did not feel this basic hotel was great value for money.
Donald motel is one of the most comfortable country motels we have stayed in. The family rooms are large with plenty of room. Clean and fresh inside and out. The outdoor seating area is fantastic with BBQs and large tables and nice plants everywhere. Was great place to sit and have drinks and nibbles. Located at end of the main street so close to all the shops and easy to grab a morning coffee or go to local IGA for items. Friendly and helpful owners.
The location of this motel was brilliant.
Set on the river, we were able to sit on the balcony/deck and enjoy a great view of the river and the abundant bird life.
Although only a 3 star motel, everything was clean and well presented.
We would definitely stay here next time we are in Donald.
Really nice regional hotel with welcoming owners. From the front just looks like a hwy hotel and its not big but the balcony on the rooms look over a lovely little creek. A very short walk to the pubs in town. Clean rooms, new bathroom and nice furnishings, Will definitely stay again.
Cosy, affordable, nice spot by the river. It's a country motel so didnt expect anything fancy, but the room was clean and well oresentes. Staff accommodated our late check in request at no extra cost. Very easy to find and close to the town facilities. Nice shower.
The motel room was very clean and tidy, and big enough for a nights stay for the two of us. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of blankets and pillows. Donald is only small, but it was a very convenient location close to IGA, cafes and others shops.
Well equipped and beautifully presented rooms. Very comfortable with all the comfort features of a inner city hotel

Location is perfect, right alongside the Richardson River. Walking distance to everything the township of Donald has to offer. Hosts are delightful & friendly.
The views from the deck are magnificent.
Lovely location, friendly staff and renovated room and bathroom. Very comfortable beds and linen. Nice little outdoor area overlooking river. Easy walking distance to hotels and take away food.
