Bundanoon is a great little village in The Southern Highlands and there are lots of events throughout the year; the pub has live music and the community hall has movies, concerts, markets, exercise classes, and always some type of activity going on. The train station is right in the heart of the village and it's about halfway between Sydney and Canberra and less than 2 hours drive. Bundanoon is the gateway to Morton National Park and is ideal for bushwalking, mountain biking and has great views from the lookouts which you can also drive to. Any time of year is a good time to visit Bundanoon.

Bundanoon is a serene, beautiful area with a REAL country feel . People are friendly - both locals and shop staff - and food outlets are great.
Nothing about Bundanoon is negative. Go to Bowral if you want traffic, city shops and rude people.

A peaceful village away from the hustle and bustle of the northern Highland villages. Cafes and general shops, railway station right at the shops, heading to Sydney or Goulburn. Many bushwalking possibilities in the immediate area.

This is a lovely little town with a charming main street. The Station is a beautifully quaint & well maintained structure.
The toilets in the town centre were spotless. Everyone we saw on the street said hello to us accompanied by a great smile.

Where we stayed was only a short walk into town and to the Pub for dinner plus it was only a short drive to go on some of the bush walks.
We didn't get there until 2:30pm and it was a Sunday, I would love to go back and explore the town properly when everything was open

We were only there for a short time for Brigadoon, so didn't have enough time to explore what Bundanoon and the surrounding areas have to offer. What we did experience was a pretty little haven with friendly locals. Lovely getaway. Hope to return when we have more time.
Room was clean, well maintained. Large bathroom. Mattress a little hard. Very close to retail of Bundanoon.Walk to Hotel (5mins). Cost was good. Room had microwave, toaster, plates, cutlery, jug , little fridge. Park outside room door. Manager rang us to plan access . Deep cutting helps hide train noise. Trains run all day/night, not to loud in room. Has fans, air conditioning.
The hotel is a good example of its era. I booked a bedroom with ensuite that was small with high ceilings and a window overlooking the garden and pool.
I met my family there for an enjoyable Mothers Day lunch. The steak was cooked as requested, medium rare and the fish moist. The deserts delicious.
The kids enjoyed playing in the gardens and on the tennis court.
Fantastic breakfast included in our mid-week stay for two nights. We love the location and ate at local restaurants for dinner. Our room was lovely with ensuite bathroom. Plenty of room for our short stay. A couple of really comfortable and warm sitting rooms with televisions for guests to use. Friendly hosts. Great value accommodation in Bundanoon.
My wife and I just spend the weekend at Bundanoon Guest House.
We had a geat time made even better by our wonderful host, Lucie.
Included breakfast was really good, wine by the open fire was very relaxing and scones for afternoon tea topped it off!
Great location just a short stroll to the town centre.
It is a property we have stayed in before as it is around half way on our journeys. The location is ok, despite the nearby train line, which is busy and can be noisy at any time, although it could be a bonus for those who wished to take the train into Sydney from Bundanoon.
Close proximity to Bundanoon and Exeter. We were visiting Exeter for an engagement party. Good bedroom configuration and plenty of living room zones to relax in. With some TLC and closer attention to cleaning and outdoors area this property would be fantastic.
The hosts were brilliant, couldn't do enough for you. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door by Helen, when I asked about where to eat she booked a table for us at the local hotel which we enjoyed. The place was very peaceful and we slept well.
comfortable, basic room. Hotel/pub has several different bar areas for a drink and also a bistro. Great location, just 1 minute walk to town centre via pedestrian access across railway where there is cafes etc and a fantastic Thai restaurant (Jacks).
Exceptional service and support from Tom and the staff at Bundanoon after our check-in time and restaurant booking was delayed by a flat tire. Accommodation was charming and comfortable. The restaurant's food was delicious. Will happily stay again.
We loved the character of the hotel which was rebuilt in the 1920s. Comfortable room with a huge ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed sitting around the fire on the big leather lounges. We also ate dinner at the hotel and our meals were excellent.
Super cute cottage, loved the feel of the place. Very close to Bundanoon town, hotel and shops. Nice touches with a coffee machine, ground coffee beans, full pantry and biscuits. Even fresh cut flowers!
Good, healthy breakfast. Property is good location for exploring Bundanoon and also for doing local bushwalks. The owners and their dogs were very friendly and welcoming.
