Several people tried to talk me out of visiting Bunbury as it has a reputation as having a lot of homeless people and drug abuse. The streets are crowded with discarded trash and furniture. However, there is a beautiful beach which wasn't crowded.

Bunbury is a beautiful seaside town with accessible beaches that go on forever. Try bodysurfing at the lighthouse beach. The Bunbury Farmers Market is open 7 days a week and is a must stop for everything local - produce, meat, baked goods, cheese ….. The town is clean with every type of store you would need for supplies. Don’t miss the Dolphin Discovery Centre. I loved this place.

Bunbury is our regular holiday destination when we dont want to drive too far, but we know that we can relax and take in the beautuful beach views every time we holiday there. It is the centre of everything down South with just a short drive to Busselton, Margaret River or Dunsborough. It never disappoints and the weather is perfect in summer for swimming at the beach. Koombanna bay being our absolute fave for families. There is also plenty of places to eat right at your doorstep to choose from, including the new 'Froth Bunbrewery' yummy and of course lots of wineries to visit :-)

We were very disappointed after staying so many times at the lighthouse, staff were stressed and the restaurant was closed :(
No breakfast, dinner or room service :(
Internet was weak, furniture lounge was sunk and spa had algae after emptying :*
- spa bath was fantastic and 2 bathrooms perfect for our family.
- the view of the golf course was beautiful and my kids enjoyed playing outside at the verandah.
- the heater works well to heat up the house.
- the wifi worked very well
- kitchen is small but has most things you need.
- the swings was fun for the kids but we didn't try the pool coz its winter
- Jim was very friendly and helped with all questions we needed quickly.
- spacious with TVs in masters bedroom and living room.
The Beach Villa Bunbury is a fantastic option for your family holiday stay. So well equipped, has everything you can possibly need. Great location, secure and easy access to everything.
The view of the waves crashing and sunsets over the water is sensational.
My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer.
Thank you to Julie for the arrival email and all the information provided, you made our stay easy and seemless. We will definitely stay again.
The Lord Forrester is a family orientated hotel, the pool is great, food excellent, the staff were great, they included our great grandaughter Jennifer into the conversation, attention to detail was obvious, eg Jennifer had a swan on the front of her jumper, when I ordered coffee they formed a swan with the milk on top of the coffee, whoops of delight all round.
These are the little things that make a holiday great.
Check in was a breeze, no issues, check out was just as easy!
The hotel is an older building, but seems well maintained and very clean!
When looking for short term hotel rooms, you want a clean and comfortable place to unwind, and this hotel has it in spades!
Photos added were from the lookout tower a few minutes walk from the hotel!
Located in one of Bunbury’s suburbs, the unit is attached to the main house. An old house beautifully restored. A small comfortable unit, with more amenities that we needed, perfect for our needs. Included teas, coffee, breakfast cereal and more . Duncan was friendly and helpful. Will stay there again next time we are in Bunbury.
Popular local pub. River frontage, dolphins pass
by. Excellent food. Modern open dreck with tables overlooking estuary. Area surrounds are pleasant
walking with many fine examples of old traditional
Australian houses. Ten minutes walk to Bunbury’s
main centre.
for what we paid the the hotel I would say was value for money it was nothing fancy but clean comfortable.
the hotel meals were very good again value for money. and central to everything.
If you want luxury look for a more expensive hotel.
Great location on the waterfront but also short walk to Bunbury CBD and plenty of eating places , cafes & pubs. Hotel was clean with lovely indoor pool area and manicured outdoor gardens. Easy check in process with friendly staff.
Good hotel and well located with plenty of restaurants and a cinema in easy walking distance. The beach is a short walk away and it's a good location for exploring Busselton and Margaret river attractions.
The indoor spa and pool, which I enjoyed ,even though ,due to a maintenance issue the pool wasn’t heated.
Loved the closeness to the beach and its position so close to the imposing lighthouse
The hotel has been fully refurbished and the hotel and the rooms were fantastic and clean. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar which offered beer brewed at their local brewery.
