Braidwood is an historic town with lots of old world charm and a good mix of shops & cafes. Museum only open on Fridays & Saturdays - very helpful with family research. We loved our day trip to Araluen - the steak sandwich was excellent. Friendly hoteliers.

Hadn't been for 20 years and glad I made the effort to explore it - a real classic settler town with history at everystep. Nice shops and good external breakfast options made me happy to spend a bit longer there. Am planning a return in a month to the same hotel, nice boutiques and antique shops.

Braidwood has some really interesting shops and places to eat. We wanted to try the Smokey Horse but didn’t realise we needed to book. Instead we ate at the Braidwood Hotel. Great vibe; great music and fabulous meals. Strolling along the Main Street on a special Christmas late night shopping night was really festive and felt so much like a tight knitted community village.

Braidwood is a charming little town with many lovely cafes and two pubs. The locals are very friendly and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The drive from Sydney is very easy as is getting around the town itself.

Braidwood is a gorgeous old town with quaint shops and lovely old buildings. The surrounding countryside is delightful and perfect for little day trips. The town has amazing cafes with some really top notch food, however options for dinner are limited to the two pubs.

Sunrise and Sunsets from this place was to die for!!

Sunrise and Sunsets from this place was to die for!! and there were kangaroos every morning outside the tiny house. The tiny house was clean and well equipped. The host, Helen was amazing and very very helpful. If you have any questions/queries and message her, she’d reply almost instantly. She has a horse riding/training club called “The Saddle club” if you’re interested in horse riding and also a cafe where she makes the most delicious baked goods. You can also hire a picnic essential along with baked goods and a wine and go for a picnic date. Theres a river/reserve only few mins away from this place if you wanted to go for boating and swim. The town is beautiful too if you wanted to stroll around. This place has so much to offer and I wish we stayed more but we will defo be back soon!
