Boorowa was a great little town

Boorowa was a great little town As you drive into town from Nthn direction the town appears as very charming with lovely greenery everywhere. The occasional superb wine bar was a great find Perfect for a glass of local wine or beer and a snack . Jeremy the owner also has a small selection of novels for sale as the bar hosts a local book club ! We will definitely be back to visit this delightful bar ! The town also has a handful of shops , and the cafe we went to in the Main Street had the best food and coffee ! Also a selection of gourmet foods , jams etc , and some skincare products! Everyone very friendly in this town Behind the Main Street there is a lovely old church and the town has many heritage buildings that have been restored or are in the process of being restored Well worth a visit !

    Do not stay here!

Do not stay here! It’s is old & filthy - our bed was not changed from previous customer - found dirty sheets with long black hair all over mattress. Pillows are very yellow stained & filthy. One had old blood spots on it. All needed to go to the tip. Wouldn’t let my dog sleep on that bedding it was disgusting & the fact that the room hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived. Furniture was extremely old & mattresses was old style with big springs that you could feel through the bedding. As it was Easter & everything was booked out we had no choice but to stay there after an 8 hour drive. Not happy at all.

Boorowa is a terrific little town, ask Mike and he will tell you the history in a very enjoyable way! The coffee in the Shamrock Cafe is soo tasty, I always enjoy breakfast in the morning as it opens at 8am. Dinner in the evening is superb with the ‘finer dining’ the most unexpected thrill in my gourmet adventure! The staff, the friendly locals and owner Mike make this hotel my favourite hotel to visit in NSW!
