We stayed five nights and were superbly looked after by the private owners and all staff. Very conveniently located and fantastic friendly service. Within walking distance of almost everything but quiet. Thoroughly recommend it if looking for a base to explore the Tableland.

I liked the meal and wine at the pub and the walk along the old railway line the next morning. If you're a rail trail fan you can ride all the way to Herberton (although it's a bit rough in places) and all the way to the next big town in the other direction.

The Motel is on a hill with a pleasant outlook and easy access. There is a Chinese Restaurant (which is excellent) right at the end of the Motel. The rooms are large and the kitchen facilities are great.

Atherton is beautiful full of history.

Atherton is beautiful full of history. Atherton is a great place to base yourself to see the surrounding areas from. We found out after we had booked for only 2 days that most of the small towns around the area are only like 30-45 mins away bit sad we didnt stay longer. We could of stayed a week so we could of seen more. The lady and gentlemen from the Historical Society are so full of information about the area and surrounds it was amazing. Would highly recommend a visit to the Historical Society first when here to learn about the area the plan your visit. As it was this lady that told me about a little town called Irvinebank which We did visit.

Robert was so proactive in making sure everything was exactly as we needed. Robert has made a brilliant destination to use as a base to drive around all the Tablelands has to offer. We enjoyed a few days letting us catch up with friends without stress or any concerns. We will have to go back because he has lots of plans to improve and include extras. We look forward to enjoying the view from the planned seating watching sunsets in peace.

A great house, with everything we wanted, plus lots more. Lots of room, everything wanted in the kitchen, good dishwasher. Good washing machine and clothes dryer. Good location in Atherton for exploring the Atherton Tablelands. Not too far to other places, in any direction. Close to the shops, and for eating out. This was our second time staying at Lilly Pilly House, and we hope to return again. We had a wonderful week.

The location was excellent for exploring the tablelands area - towns such as Youngaburra, Mereeba etc and the waterfall circuit. Plenty of options for shops, restaurants, takeaway in the town of Atherton and It was a bonus to have a roadside fruit stall opposite the motel. The owners are a small family and very friendly and helpful during the stay - good ol fashioned hospitality.

A wonderfully welcoming house which has been very thoughtfully decorated by the owner. After spending a week in motel and hotel rooms it was great to spend a night in a house again. Everything you need is there and it is in easy walking distance to the Centre of town. We enjoyed it so much I have booked it again for September.

We were so disappointed we took one look at the unconditioned room it was a hot day and dead garden we decided to loose our money and went and booked a motel with air conditioning and a garden that wasn't dead. The photos did not match the location. We were ripped off. Nobody was on site to talk to. Very disappointed ☹️

Excellent location and very quiet. Main shopping centres were only a couple of blocks (within walking distance) away and the hospital (should you need it) even closer. An excellent location for a base to travel all over the tablelands and down to the coast. Beautiful mild climate, especially compared to Cairns.
