The manager is a very nice guy and is keen to make your stay as good as it can be. This is a small country Motel and is great for an overnight stay when travelling or a few days when visiting the New England area. Armidale is a nice little town to drive around and has plenty of dining options. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Whitebull Hotel - my 2 teenagers and I all thought our meals were some of the best we've ever had. It's easy to navigate around the town whether driving or walking. There is an information centre in town with lots of pamphlets, maps and relevant info, as well as the place to book and start a historic tour of the town. We visited to use Armidale as a base for visiting the many National Parks and reserves in the general area. There is so much beauty within a short or moderate drive. Ebor Falls is stunning and a super short walk. New England NP around the Point Lookout area is so beautiful with its Gondwana forest. Cathedral Rock NP is a contrast to this with giant granite boulders and lots of orchids and other flowers at the right time of year. South of Armidale is Apsley Gorge and falls, and Dangar Falls - both had minimal water coming over the falls when we visited, but were still so picturesque and would be amazing to see after a decent rainfall.

New England Regional Art Museum is well worth a visit. Interesting 19th century architecture in the centre of town and Sumarez homestead is very interesting. UNE is quite attractive to many people and prospective students.

We only stayed for one night, on our way home to Queensland. We did not have a booking, but it was pet friendly. We googled the restaurants and hotels that were pet friendly, we found the Grand Hotel that catered to pet owners, it was was a lovely hotel, met a few "locals" made us feel at home, the meal was top notch, and our dog was very welcome. If we had more time, we would have loved to to stay in Armidale for few more days. It's a very interesting place to see and do things, we will definitely go back again .MaureenAustralia - 10Scored 10

Well laid out town with great options for restaurants, plenty of beautiful buildings and churches to look at. See Saw was a great breakfast coffee shop to fuel up for a big adventurous day. The city mall center has great potential but the vibe has been affected by economic troubles.

We were met with the friendliest chap who upon learning it was our first time in town proceeded to give us fabulous recommendations for coffee, pubs, restaurants and amenities close by. Every recommendation he gave was spot on and we had the best time in Armidale thanks to them. Our room had clearly been recently renovated and it was stunning. A very clean and lux aesthetic with very comfortable furnishings and a fabulous shower.

Room was clean and smells nice, amenities were provided and facility was family friendly. Hotel was surrounded by some really nice restaurants and close to city center. Management was attentive and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Will definitely comeback.

The motel staff gave a map and stated me in the correct direction. This motel has routine checkin at 1300 which suited me as I had a show at the school at 1400. It's single storey - park at your door, solid brick construction (you don't hear noise from next door) and I thought gave value for money.

Although the motel is only 2 stories high, with outside stairs, the receptionist happily gave us a ground floor room as requested on my booking form. Also the TV remote control was clean, not sticky. 4 chargers were available for electric vehicles.
