Great beach for taking a long walk. walking towards Flat White cafe or into the little village shops. I didn't have time to walk the other way around to the next beach - which is very picturesque. Even on a rainy day, with big surf, a stunning spot.

    Waihi Beach is beautiful.

Waihi Beach is beautiful. Very popular cafe, Flat White, right on the beach. I would also recommend going to The Secret Garden, especially after 4.30pm when the Tiki Bar opens. The market was on as well which was nice and relaxing with tables or mats to lounge around on and enjoy the music.

The property was fantastic and excellent location to the beach, with lots of local walks both flat and challenging if you wish. The RSA - recommended to us by Susan and Phil was a great bonus with free transport, great food and entertainment at time The Beach Cafe does amazing breakfast

Waihi Beach and Waihi are not places most tourists are familiar with. It has an old word charm about with all the modern ammenities one could expect. It is somewhat like a hidden treasure. There is a beautiful gorge nearby. The town is neat and clean. The drive from Auckland to Waihi Beach is very scenic. We stopped a lot along the way. There is also a great fully equiped gym in Waihi Beach that tourists can use and pay per day called Body Mechanics.

Waihi beach is a very quiet town.

Waihi beach is a very quiet town. Everyone has caravans or motorhomes parked in their driveway so I gather it's more of an older community. Everyone seems to know everyone and it's got a nice safe feel to it.

Felt like I was in old New Zealand, lots of little character homes, people walking on the streets in relaxed mode many with dogs and as dog person myself I enjoyed seeing that. The beach itself (in June) was enjoyed only by a few people, north end is access to trails which we enjoyed one of - obviously popular as we came across a number of people along the way. The shopping centre on Wilson Road has it's own unique vibe with mostly non-franchised shops - a refreshing change! Being close to Waihi provided another place to visit; although we didn't do any gorge walks I have in the past and can recommend them. It is very beautiful through there.

We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfully arranged and presented collection of homemade snacks waiting for us on our arrival. The location in the older part of Waihi beach next to farmland made it feel restful and charming. The well layout gardens delighted the gardener in me too. We enjoyed the outdoor bath after a long hike and the privacy the property offered.

We would definitely recommend Waihi Beach Getaway. The place was clean and very well taken care of. Most importantly, we were able to bring our dog and have her inside with us. Often “pets allowed” only extends to service dogs or small dogs. Ours is not lol. Our hosts, Pauly and Andrea, were friendly, accommodating and just left you to your own business.

We found the property to be a great layout and safe especially for our kids. The cabins were clean and not outdated at all. Staff are so friendly and helpful! Location was handy to the beach and not far from the main town. This is the first time we visited Waihi Beach and hopefully it won’t be the last! We loved our time away there even with the rain!

We loved Kotare Ridge. Beautifully located plus quiet but close to the main Waihi Beach. Lovely, comfy and very nice adequate breakfast. The suite was very clean and beautifully decorated. The only slight downside was very awkward parking but that cannot be helped due the hilly surrounds Hope to stay there again

It was really comfortable and quiet. Perfect for a little get away as a couple. The hosts were amazing and made you feel at home. The location was perfect distance to shops and places to eat as well as all the different beaches in the area. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Waihi Beach.

Stylish and cosy for a winter break. Good amenities and I liked the location - Bowentown beach was nice for a walk and it was still handy to the main Waihi beach. Netflix was slow to load but good once in. Comfy bed and nice bath, great to have a home away from home.

Great location. Just across the road from a wonderful beach and not far from a lovely retail. It was extremely hot weather and there were no fans or aircon at the property. It was very clean, but quite musty. Despite this, we enjoyed our time in Waihi Beach .
