Food /shops within walking distance. Had lunch at the fish and chip shop in the village (we ate Thai) it was the best we’ve ever had. Dairy owners were friendly. Pizza diners both inside and out, were enjoying themselves.
Great place to walk, along the beach and around the village.
Close to trains, if you needed one.
Beach was clean and was tempting for a swim, even for a cool day.
Was lovely to see people walking their dogs. Families together playing in the sand and swimming. Very peaceful place.
Not too far into Wellington by vehicle or to the airport.
We couldn’t believe how courteous the drivers were down there, thumbs up to you Plimmerton. Great place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay-our accommodation was very handy to cafes etc but unfortunately the weather wasnt on our side so didnt get to walk the beach because the sea was too rough. Attended the Plimmerton school fair which was enjoyable but very good being able to leave the car and walk.

Plimmerton is not the destination most would think of when travelling to Wellington, it is actually one of the lower North Islands best kept secrets. It's calm, unrushed and has beautiful water and excellent local eateries. Handy to the inter-Wellington train services and about 15 minutes by motorway assuming you don't get stuck in rush hour. I'd take the train.
My next trip to Wellies -- for either business or pleasure -- will likely involve me staying back at Plimmerton with its restfully exciting sea shore views and friendly locals.
We didn't have the time to enjoy the healthy breakfast left for us. We left the house early in the morning and come home really late. But Tom was awesome to deal with.
Love the location, if only we came during summer, oh! I could picture my little family strolling the shorelines of Plimmerton Beach, it was just beautiful.
This is a great B and B. We arrived exhausted and left very well rested. It was spacious for a studio size and lots of cooking options. The owners gave us all we needed in an unintrusive way. The Plimmerton township was excellent with cafes and the esplanade. Train station across the road too. Thanks so much Tom.
The villa was really clean, bed was super comfortable. Close to Plimmerton beach, such a nice quiet location. Tom was a great host and very friendly, he made us feel very welcome and was very helpful.
we enjoyed our stay so much.
Thank you :-)
