The Hot Pools are a great drawcard, always popular.
The Hot Pools are a great drawcard, always popular. Some great restaurants, cafes and bars. Lots of trees, provide welcome shade in summer. Plenty of walking and cycling tracks. Water sports - rafting, jet boats, fishing etc. Craft market on a Saturday. Always a busy place for locals and tourists, so book early.

This was one of the best properties on our travels.
Loved the location. Everything we needed. Even towels for the hot pools. Cabin warm and very comfortable. I could have stayed longer.
Hot pools were amazing.

The Mountain View’s were beautiful and the walking track...
The Mountain View’s were beautiful and the walking track varied from easy to difficult. The town was very pleasant, clean and well taken care of. The pools were wonderful and especially enjoyed being able to swim laps in the big pool which was never crowded. Overall it was a very pleasant place for a vacation

Hanmer Springs is lovely.
Hanmer Springs is lovely. This motel overpriced, cheap and nasty. False advertising using "premium".
Hanmer is popular but don't resort to booking at this motel if you find others booked out.

Nice small village with plenty to do.
Nice small village with plenty to do. Many walking and bike trails, nice shops and the Thermal pools were great for all ages. Plenty to keep families amused.
The whole town had a nice vib.
The down side would have to be the cost of eating out at the cafes and restaurants.

Great thermal pools.
Great thermal pools. My wife booked had two sessions in the spa rooms - a facial and a massage - while she was doing that I ventured on the new waterslides (at the age of 71) - they are now included in your admission charge. As we we were staying for two nights, we booked a two day ticket to the pools, this is good value and it's great to be able to pop to the pools early in the morning when there are fewer people around.
One evening we had a good meal at the Hanmer Springs Hotel (where we stayed), the second night we tried the Spice Village Indian restaurant, which I thoroughly recommend.
Great lunch one day at the Powerhouse cafe - by far the best cafe in Hanmer in my opinion.
We also went on the quad bikes at Hanmer Attractons - we were able to choose a quad buggy which is a two-person vehicle. This is well organised, with an instructor/guide who puts the emphasis on safety.
Beautiful motel rooms with everything you could need. The team was very welcoming on arrival and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a very big family room. Though we didn't even use the 2 bedrooms as we were a couple it was very spacious and we will definitely book this room next time we are in Hanmer with a bigger group as it would be perfect. The views from the master bed were stunning! Sadly we were only staying for one night - we wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back, thank you team Scenic Views!
I looked at a lot of motels in the area and chose this one because the seating area had a proper lounge suite, not the awful vinyl covered tub chairs. So our evenings were very comfortable. The unit was lovely and warm on our arrival and lies well to the sun. The shower has great water pressure and the kitchen area had all we needed. The bed was very warm and comfortable. A short walk to great food and the wonderful hot pools.
Jill and David were gregarious hosts who were happy to pass on all their knowledge about Hanmer Springs and all things NZ. Property was set in well kept gardens with bird attracting features outside our balcony. Uninterrupted views to the hills.
Arguably one of our most happy holiday experiences. The thermal springs in town, about 15 minutes walk, were a relaxing distraction. Pub grub and beer in Monteiths were excellent too.
We had a very nice stay at the Hanmer Springs Hotel, The room had everything we needed. Great selection of tea, coffee and a good amount of hair/body wash. The room was serviced to a high standard. The stay was nice and the staff are great.
We had dinner there as well, it was great. Very good service and dinner was amazing. Dinks are also great. The room was a little dated but great for the price we paid
I had a really great stay at Kakapo Lodge. The staff were very welcoming and helpful when I checked in and out. The room I stayed in was lovely and had everything I needed. The whole lodge was very clean and tidy and there was ample parking space at the lodge. The lodge was easy to find and right by the thermal pools, which was great. I would definitely stay there again when in Hanmer Springs.
The size of the suites are very spacious and so is the ensuite. The bathrooms were designed with luxury in mind and have plenty of space for a couple to use together.
The location to Hanmer Springs is good and the views from the room is absolutely beautiful.
The buffet breakfast is very good and if this wasn't included in our room rate I would have scored much lower on price versus value.
We spent one night in Hanmer Springs during a very busy weekend and the hospitality venues were coping well. All the hotels were full and we were glad we booked early. Settlers Hotel was a professional operation; the room was well equipped and spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and lovely bed linen. They supplied extra towels to use when we sampled the hot springs.
It was the second time we'd stayed here, and we chose it because it's just over the road from the thermal springs. The staff are lovely and the rooms are warm and comfortable. There's a very well equipped kitchen that guests can use, and a large guest lounge. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Hanmer Springs.
The room size and appointment, the spa bath on the deck and in the bathroom, most comfortable bed, great views and quietness, good breakfast. It takes 10 min by car to the Thermal pools at Hanmer Springs, and we needed a car anyway to get to the lodge from the airport (it's about 200 km to the nearest airport)
Alpine Adventure Holiday Park is such a beautiful spot, tranquil location and ideal for families. The amenities are plenty and overall it's a lovely place for a holiday, with everything you could need, whether camping or in a cabin. We spent 1 week here and didn't want to leave.
The reception manager personally escorted me to our room, which was a nice touch, and offered us towels to use at the Hanmer Spa.
Parking spaces were wide.
Once inside we were greeted by chocolates laid against a pinecone arrangement on the bed, and tasteful décor.
The hotel is in the center of town just a few minutes walk to the springs. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The pool is a great place to unwind. The breakfast was more than adequate for us to start the day.
Very enjoyable stay. Room was extremely comfortable, wonderful breakfast spread, good location at a short drive/long walk into town. Would stay here again if traveling to Hanmer Springs.
Lovely character heritage home just a 5 minute walk to the hot pools. We had one of the cottages, very clean and quiet. Lovely hostess! Wish we had stayed longer.
