Martin & Elaine offered us a warm welcome and a superb welcoming dinner. The moulin is beautifully restored, for the most part by their own hands. We greatly enjoyed our conversations with them and appreciated their recommendations for restaurants and places to see around Monein. They also had helpful advice for our travels in the Béarn and beyond.

The hills, houses, woods and vineyards make for a beautiful place, and you can enjoy the views from the lovely garden (with chairs and tables). The room was spotless, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and the home-made yoghurt delicious!. Monein has a good tourist information centre and restaurant. I would totally recommend coming here.
