I was in some Campanile's Hotels before, and this looked quite renewed. Location is quiet and easy to access from motorways. Everything worked as expected and dinner was good at the hotel restaurant. The receptionist was so kind to give me a room at the ground floor as I could pak my motorbike just in front of it. Ther room is the standard setting, which is enough for a stopover on a long trip from/to holidays locations.
They even have 4 charging stations for EVs to recharge onsite during the stay.
Check-in was easy in adjacent Campanile hotel - excellent desk staff, speaking good English in response to my Pidgin French. Room was clean; thankfully no smell of smoke, which was my main concern having read other reviews. Firm bed, but only one pillow (each). Tiny bathroom, which is what you expect for E40. Excellent breakfast, again at Campanile. Great location on journey to Alps - 4hrs from Calais.
Tried to get a ground floor room as my husband is disabled. I sent the hotel a message asking for a ground floor room a week before hand. But they didn’t accommodate us. The stairs were dangerous to climb as they are on the outside if the building, it was difficult for my husband to navigate them. Then the power went out in the morning, so couldn’t fry my hair or have a cuppa. Wouldn’t stay there again
