We LOVE Paternoster.
We LOVE Paternoster. It’s a beautiful little coastal village (probably more of a town now) with white houses. The beach is lovely with soft sand and great for long walks.
There are many fantastic restaurants and cafes to choose from and local seafood is excellent.
Plentiful accommodation at reasonable prices.
Definitely worth a trip and also please visit the wine lounge. Fantastic selection of South African wines run by a lovely couple Arno and Pieter. You can sip and watch the waves and world go by or catch a sunset.

It is essentially a holiday village, spread along the beach. There are quite a few restaurants, a supermarket, and a few small shops, but that's it. The beach is excellent for walking, but a bit too cold for swimming. There are
some game reserves and a national Park within an hour's drive and they are worth visiting. Really, it is a place for relaxing

We really enjoyed the beach and especially the sunsets.
We really enjoyed the beach and especially the sunsets. The local Spar had everything you would need to purchase - fresh meat, vegetables and a lovely bakery. The Beer Brewery is a must visit and make sure you try their cheese platters, the best we had.
I had an absolutely wonderful time with my wife at Paternoster Dunes! The beauty of the room was matched only by the warmth of the staff. The delicious breakfast and breathtaking views created a sense of tranquility that made our stay truly relaxing. This place is a must-stay for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway. We can't wait to return and experience the serenity all over again!
Smugglers Lodge BnB is a well-maintained and designed guesthouse located just steps from one of Paternoster's beaches. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The only downside is the WiFi that didn't really work during my stay. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and would return. I recommend this guesthouse.
Most beautiful location, hotel architecturally designed and built to complement it. The views!!!
All the creature comforts and more.....including the food and treats.
Loved the birdbook and binoculars, and the bag to pick up plastic on the beach.
The small attention to detail - we celebrated our 27th anniversary.
Best massage ever.
I received a warm welcome and had an enjoyable stay at Paternoster Hotel. Staff were friendly, my room was large and well equipped, breakfasts were generous and I felt it was very good value overall. The hotel is also centrally located in Paternoster and apart from their own restaurant there are a choice of eateries close at hand.
decor in the hotel is beautiful as are the views for the dining area and bar. very close via short walk to the smaller quieter beach in paternoster. our room was comfortable but bathroom could do with a bit of a refurb.
The breakfast was awesome - and personilised by Shirley
The staff were friendly and professional and extremely helpful
The location of Baywatch is the best - on the beachfront with beautiful private garden facilitiies
Location was on the beach with immediate access from our veranda. Stunning uninterrupted views. Loved the decor and facilities in the room and throughout the hotel. Delicious food and exceptional service. World class!
Great location. Really enjoyed our stay at Klein Sterretjie. Good security, well furnished and well equipped. One minute walk to the beach. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit Paternoster.
Paternoster is always a wonderful, peaceful place for a breakaway. Beautiful. Paternoster Place is a decent establishment from which to enjoy the rest of what this quaint town has to offer.
The proximity to the beach, the big spacious house was wonderful. There was plenty of space for us all and we had a very fun time exploring Paternoster and surrounding areas.
