Perfect place for active people.
Perfect place for active people. Close to the lake, you can swim, take a boat ride, go to the mountains. We have tried some easier via ferrata. There is couple places to have a great italien food in Marone.

There are so many things to do and see in northern Italy,...
There are so many things to do and see in northern Italy, and Marone proved to be an excellent base from which to be tourists. We spent a day exploring the lago and Monte Isola, both of which deserved much more time. We visited friends at Lake Como, but experienced very bad traffic on our return from Como to Bergamo.

I personally love small towns and getting to know the local areas. There is plenty of area for walking and biking everywhere as well as a boat taxi to take you to the island. Since we were in off season, it was difficult to get accurate taxi information; even their website was wrong. HA. There's a lot of things to do : climbing, trekking, gastonomy. There's a lot of villages to visit ! And there is so much climbing sites and trekking trails, it's a fantastic place to stay and make sports !

Marone has a great selection of restaurants to suit all budgets with stunning lake views. The feeling of being in Italy with a community is really special and feels less touristy . Great location for exploring towns nearby north and south of the lake. A quaint town with steep hills which are great to burn off the calories. Not many shops but who needs to shop when you should be relaxing and enjoy8 g the break?

Apartment is to the side of the restaurant. Was very busy when we arrived around 9.30pm but showed us to the apartment right away. Lovely pizzas and traditional cuisine and not overpriced. would have liked to stay longer to explore the area.

It’s very calm and relaxing to spend the time in the wonderful garden with its olive trees and just read or relax at the dock or in the hammock. But if you’re looking for more action, there’s also plenty to do in the area like cycling, water sports or hiking. In Marone you’ll find bars/cafes. The apartment itself was very pretty, spacious and clean. We would definitely like to come back.LuzieGermany

The apartment is tastefully furnished with all the essentials. It's about 10min walk to Marone town with a supermarket, restaurants and bars, as well as the lake with a public beach and a cycle path. The train station has decent connections to other towns along the lake. The host, Dario, is super lovely and happy to give tips or help with anything you might need.

The yellow house is beautiful on the inside and the view from the balcony is great! Also, host Dario is very friendly. We enjoyed our stay! There are stairs (+/- 300) to the lakeside so you can easily visit the beach of Marone or the supermarket. The way up is a more challenging then down but the view from CasaGialla is all worth it 👌KorienNetherlands

Silent and isolated from the street, a piece of the lake is visible through the window. Owner is nice and helpful.

Bed mattress was comfortable, it may be too soft for other people, but we liked it. Good breakfast in the morning inside or outside terrace. Parking at the hotel was no problem.
