We can’t get enough of the Elephant Park and we’re loving the Safari’s at Schotia. Zip lining at Adrenaline is also one of our favourites. We are living 4 hours away from Addo, so most of the time we are coming for the weekend ( Two nights) . It’s always too short…
The area "Addo" is not really nice, but there are nice places to stay.

Addo Elephant National Park was nice.
Addo Elephant National Park was nice. We saw tons of elephants, zebras, and other resident animals native to this area in the park. Probably best to spend one night in accommodations in or near the national park and then the other night in one of the game reserves near the park.

Addo has a lot to see but as with all national parks, what you see will depend on weather and season. The park is small enough to cover in a day but definitely would recommend a longer stay.
Elephants are always there but what I enjoy more are the smaller things like the birds. The bush is dense so if self driving, slow down.

Watching the elephants swimming at the different dams, it was a good experience. We spent the whole day driving around hoping to see a lion with no luck. I don't think they have a lion. I haven't heard any guest saying s/he saw a lion.

Addo Elephant Park is absolutely worth a visit.
Addo Elephant Park is absolutely worth a visit. We have done the car safari which allows you to drive to the park and spot animals yourself. We have seen many elephants, zebras, antilopes, and many more. The animals have an amazing reserve to live in, very green and enough water around.

Addo National Park is decent - Lots of driving with limited animal spotting. We did get to see the elephants very closely which was good.
The Addo Wildlife Private Game Reserve drive where we were staying was better, with a lovely experiential dinner at the end.
We loved our stay, the food was amazing. we did breakfast and dinner and the lady's in the kitchen did an exceptional job. The rooms were very nice and had a great view of there property and they had wood by the firepit for us and the room was clean and well equipped. It is only about a 25 minute drive to the north entrance of Addo elephant park which was very nice. We loved out stay.
Very pretty Guest House with an awesomely high standard. We had booked the family room and it was spacious, clean and stylish. The whole guest house is well designed and nicely arranged. The service is very much family-style and made our stay perfect. The road to the guest house leads through the Addo Elephant park and we spotted game both arriving and leaving at the hotel!
The villa was a lovely, large, thatched roof cottage with antique furniture and a four poster bed. Large balcony. Nice pool.
The restaurant was great with an interesting selection including kudu and eland.
Staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Edwin.
The game drive into Addo that they arranged with Saul was exceptionally good.
A fantastic, tranquil place, a perfect place to relax and as a base for exploring ADDO elephant park! Rooms have separate entries and almost feel like separate buildings. The entire location and lawns are beautiful, our kids loved the pool and the tennis court, we loved the friendly staff, the great breakfast, and the nice dinner!
The views over the Sunday river are magnificent! The room was very well equipped and the daily cleaning service at no extra cost was such an added bonus. Lisa, the host, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. This is the perfect stay when you want to visit Addo Elephant Park, only 12km from the main gate. Great value for money.
Rooms very spacious, nicely decorated, good sanitary facilities, comfortable beds. Communal kitchen (e.g. for own breakfast) very well equipped. Good price-quality. Close to the entrance of Addo Game Park, Superspar (for self catering) and Wildlife Tangelo Restaurant with great food and superb staff.
We liked a lot the friendliness of the staff. Greetings to the security guard who was always super friendly. The Location is super close to addo National Park. In the Location, they pay high attention to ecology and sustainability. We appreciated this.
Fantastic setting, close to Addo Elephant Park but away from all the tourists, very peaceful and secluded. We were very fortunate to see many animals in the park, including a large amount of elephants.
Very welcoming and friendly staff (even though we arrived on a super short notice).
The room was spacious and clean and the location is convenient for Addo Park travelers.
