Great family-run hotel right in the heart of Laveno. Across the road from Laveno-Mombello Lago station, and only 5 minutes walk to the other train station Laveno-Mombello. Ferries to Intra depart and arrive within 100m of the hotel. COOP supermarket again across the road. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Maggiore region.

Good location, close to train station, ferry and city center. Many opportunities for walks and entertainment, lift to a wonderful view and visit the nearby islands. There are many eateries nearby, a good pizzeria and a grocery store.

It was modern with great shower and heated towel rail. Overlooking the lake and a 5 minute walk to the ferry for the islands and 7 minutes to the square and lovely cocktail bars, Shops and restaurants. There was a large free car park belonging to the hotel. The breakfast was great and we had delicious club sandwich in the bar when we arrived. Bar was good and the restaurant was busy. Great atmosphere. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel itself was great, location was very close to the train station also to the public boats to go to the islands. The facilities inside are perfect for a short get-away. Pool has an amazing atmosphere of old roman styled baths and the rooms where a good size and very comfortable with great views.

Only 150 metres from the shores of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Milan Speranza Au Lac is next to the pier for boat trips to the Borromeo Islands.

Our stay was perfect ...the hotel is a lovely hotel full of character and with an immediate warmth and homely feel. We had a room for 3 so our son could join us . The beds were very comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. The room had a view onto the lake with a small balcony and it was amazing seeing this every morning.. magic with the lights at night. Despite this very quiet . Breakfast was plentiful and excellent and dinner too...The set menu changed every evening and was very good indeed The entire staff made it all so special. We were greeted so warmly every evening and we all loved every moment of our stay. We will certainly return..a memorable stay thank you to everyone at the hotel for making it so wonderful

The Breakfast was great !!! The room too, apart from the fact that the single room was very very small...Whereas most of the hotel give a small double for a single, each of us had a very small single for a single (kind of the chauffeur's room).
