If you already checked the location, you might already know...
If you already checked the location, you might already know that:
- The views from La Scala Fenicia are amazing. The final stop,Villa San Michele, is not the only and most interesting spot.
- Mount Solaro is a must
a. the chairlift is the easiest option
b. or just go for a nice hike as it's not challenging. On you way down to Anacapri take in the beautiful scenery from Santa Maria a Cetrella and appreciate the stunning Faraglioni cliffs.
- You can get to Capri via La Scala Fenicia and then taking one of the pedestrian streets - it's a beautiful 35 minute walk, but this is not for everybody. If you don't want to wait for half an hour for the bus, you can go for this option.
- Faro di Punta Carena
Take the bus and go for a dive. There is a nice beach, and I would rather spend my time there swimming/diving, instead of waiting for 2 hours in the line for Blue grotto. The emerald crystal water is full of fish playing around the rocks :)
Last, but not leas. Capri is pretty, but it looks a bit like an outdoor mall. Anacapri on the other hand is way more interesting and has a authentic vibe and most of the stunning views and trails are right here.

Unfortunately we fell into the trap of only staying one night after seeing all the day trip options Capri had. After our host Giuliano from B&B Paridiso (highly recommend) told us about everything there was to do on the island we were gutted we didn’t stay longer. There is the blue grotto, chair lifts to amazing views, anacapri’s town centre, wonderful restaurants and beaches to visit.

Lovely town with cute shops and streets to walk around.
Lovely town with cute shops and streets to walk around. However, it’s very touristy and the food isn’t great on this part of the island. It gets incredibly busy so I would not recommend visiting the island during peak season (mid June to September). 1 night should be enough and you could even make it a day trip in my personal opinion.
Beautiful property with ocean views and gorgeous garden. Spacious, bright inviting room, very well decorated. Terrific bathroom and shower. Wraparound balcony with amazing view and seating. Gentle downhill walk (pedestrian street) from main square of Anacapri. Shops and restaurants nearby, as well as bus and taxi stop. EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD breakfast served indoors or out on lovely terrace. Friendly little dog. Charming hosts. They recommended a great local massage therapist who came to the B&B. Good English spoken. Would HIGHLY recommend!
We travelled around Italy for 2 weeks with my partner, staying in 7 different accommodations and this was by the the best. Check-in was hassle free, we arrived a little earlier than expected and we were received with an espresso and beautiful friendly host. We were recommended the best places to visit and eat and our room was stunning - large, bright, airy. We were even provided with coffee and packaged breakfast items - a lovely touch.
I would recommend this B&B times over, and we hope to visit again in the future!
The property was newly renovated, and the room was the perfect size for my daughter and I! The view was incredible, and it was 10 minutes away from a bus stop that took you anywhere needed on the island! Salvatore was FANTASTIC! He took every measure to make sure we had the perfect stay. Always trust his recommendations of things to do around the island, he knows it so well, and everything he suggested was spot on! If we ever have the pleasure of coming back to Anacapri, we would stay at Casa Astra again for sure!
The staff was so kind and accommodating. The owner speaks five languages and goes out of his way to take you places or to arrange things for you. The hotel is quiet and calm. They have one dish you can order, a traditional ravioli and it was the best food we had in Capri. So fresh. We stayed at a lot of places in Italy and this was the only hotel so far that gave us fresh fruit and juice as well as really fantastic pastries and coffee for breakfast. It felt like home. My young son was sad when we left.
The apartment has everything you need, very nicely decorated and clean. Aircondition, refrigerator and washing machine. Its situated close to the busstop in anacapri, so its easy to get around the the Island. breakfast is more like an easy lunch, with fresh croissants and some marmelade which is being delivered every morning in a sweet basket. But we werent exspecting any breakfast at all, so it was still a pleasent surprise. God transferservice from and back to rhe ferry😊
Excellent location with amazing waterfront views: the best sunset ever! The property is carefully taken care by Maria and Aurelio, which are supper attentive. Maria prepared also fresh pastries in the morning, which we had outside in a covered area, also facing the sea.
Casa Orrico is just minutes walk to the Grotta Azurra. the place is also close to a bus stop you can take to Anacapri and from there to Capri and other places in the island.
Hotel located on the road to AnaCapri with great view on Naples Gulf, Capri Island and Capri city. A bit old fashion facilities have been decorated with a mix and match of local artefacts, antics, contemporary and vintage pieces, creating a unique atmosphere of past grandeur, without pretention.
Swimming pool is a plus to relax.
Family run service, sometimes a bit confused, but always with great support, advice and simplicity.
Absolutely divine hotel!
We wished we had stayed a week rather than go onto Positano.
The hotel, owner, gorgeous room and bathroom, friendly staff, yummy breakfast and beautiful pool with stunning views was just what my sisters, daughter and I needed after travelling through France and Italy for 2 1/2 weeks.
We would definitely would recommend this beautiful hotel in Anacapri and hopefully will return one day soon.
Hotel is about 10 minute walk from the center of Anacapri town center but, it is worth it. Th hotel grounds are all beautiful gardens, you can go without seeing other guests if you stay in your room or go to the beautiful pool and chat with a few others who have chosen to do the same. Excellent views of the sea from our own rooftop balcony. Staff amazingly polite and helpful.
The location is perfect - sunset and sea views, very close to the bus stops to Capri, the port, Faro. Walking distance to Villa San Michele and the rest of Anacapri.
There is coffee, tea, snacks and fruit in the kitchen area and the breakfast is served at nearby Faro cafe, an excellent bakery where we had the best croissants ever! They were topped with pistachios
Fantastic property on a great location. Short walk to Blue Cave or centre of Anacapri. Owners are very friendly and helpful. They also have a special website for guests with excellent tips & tricks. My wife and I travel a lot an mostly stay in nice hotels. This property matches (or exceeds) a 5 star hotel in all aspects.
Very well situated in Anacapri, far from the crowds with a nice terrace overlooking the sea and close to the beautiful restaurant Da Gelsomina.
A big plus is that the B&B is 5 min walk from the bus stop that goes everywhere.
The room was nice, rather new, with a nice bathroom.
This is my second time staying at the hotel and I love the location , the views and the old world decor. The pool is fabulous and so are the cocktails and food by the pool . It is also a 5 minute walk to Anacapri and all the shops and restaurants.
The host was the sweetest, some of the best customer service I’ve received in 5 years living in Italy. The room we stayed in was very nice with working AC. The location is super close to the center, just a few minutes walking :)
The best experience and amazing breakfasts❤️
The B&B has a perfect location to visit the most beautiful beaches of the island, and Anacapri itself. The hosts, Fabrizio and his family, are very warmly welcoming and friendly!
This location is simply wonderfull! The best. We are so happy that we chose Anacapri and not Capri. Much more friendly, not so expensive, perfect to go and explore this beautifull island.
Owners are super friendly!!!
The hotel and staff were amazing. They accommodated us as a group of 12 and helped with shettles etc as we were there for a wedding. It was a great location, 8 minute walk up to the pedestrian part of Anacapri
beautiful surroundings. the family that runs the hotel are wonderful and accommodating. they were also very helpful with reservations and short drop offs and pick ups to anacapri.
Very nice and new hotel, well located in Anacapri. Rooms are new and clean, service and the staff provided all support needed. Pool area is great and the service is excellent.
The location is perfect! You are right in Anacapri. Right near the hotel you can rent a bike from Antonio and ride around Capri. The staff at the hotel were helpful and kind.
