My friends enjoyed the coffee from the desk. They did not feel like bacon as we were keen to get going. The bread was average.

Thoroughly enjoyed hitting bikes and doing the Riesling Trial and had a wonder lunch at Slate restaurant and at O’Leary Walker winery.
Visiting Crabtree winery and having a bottle of Riesling with the group with a wonderful view was magic. The service at Crabtree was exceptional and I love my glass cloth!

Clare is less touristy than Barrossa and all wineries are very close to each other. Rent a bike and cycle down the Reisling Trail is a great way to explore the area and have wine-tasting along the trail.

Clare Valley is different Australia - countryside, but a lot of houses and villages with relatively short distences, in many ways like Central Europe. Most of the Australia is open fields or forest for long distances.
Main attraction is of course the wineries. Bungaree Station (a historical sheep farm) is worth of visiting just 10-15km north from Clare. Martindal Hall is amazing - a grandious manor house build in English rich gentry style by a sheep farmer (he imprted architect and 50 builders from London to built it in 2 years in 1880s). Old no more used railway track has been converted as bicycle (or walking) track - over 30 km and covers full lenght of the Clare Valley.

Just wished the hotel was a bit cleaner cobweb I. Room and the second day we got no fresh towel and they did not clean the room properly bed was it even made
It’s right in the heart of Clare, and very close to the Reisling Trail. It’s clean and comfortable, and set back from the road, so it’s private and secluded. So many lovely, thoughtful touches, such as wine and cheese, chocolates and biscuits. The garden front and back is lovely (gorgeous autumn leaves). Good communication from host, easy to find, and smooth check in and out.
It was an absolute pleasure to spend the weekend away in this unique and beautiful little cottage. The host did not leave any stones unturned, and the attention to detail taken didn't go unnoticed. Very responsive to any queries we had and made us feel so very welcome. We will definitely be returning, thank you for making our stay in Clare amazing :)
The room, which was essentially a bedroom with a small kitchenette and an ensuite bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed lovely and comfortable. Ideal for a three night stay exploring the Clare Valley, and the best thing is that host operates a Wine Tour business which is an absolute must for seeing what the Clare Valley has to offer.
Location was good, parking was a little restricted on site but available on Main Street. A little noisy at times but to be expected being a pub hotel. Slate grill in the restaurant was excellent. Both the size of bedroom and bathroom were good, decor dated but as it was clean this didn't matter to us.
The breakfast provisions were of good quality and generous, so were the bottles of wine.
The room was bright and clean.
Deep bath and spacious shower, good design. Both were maintained well.
It was convenient to get around and it was nice to see nature outside the window.
Breakfast was super generous and yummy. The location and view was amazing, even better than expected! Oh and the winery, was a standout in the Clare, and we visited a few so could make a good comparison. It's a must to have lunch there too.
Rural location with stunning views from the lookout, warm and cosy with combustion fire heating, comfortable mattress and nice warm shower, excellent breakfast provisions, close location to Clare and its wineries
Everything the place & location had to offer was very nice cosy n comfortable.
We will highly recommend the Clare Central Motel to others to stay at when they come to the Clare Valley.
Provisions were generous and high quality. Location was secluded, but not too far from Clare and surrounding wineries. Excellent view from the back of the property, overlooking Blyth.
Great hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Location is a bit out of town but we had a car so that wasn't an issue.
