Everything. If you just drive past the road, you'll never even know it's there. The room I had was private. It had the most beautiful view, and it was just so refreshing staying there.
The bed was super comfy and warm, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is great. You can walk to everything in town, and it's basically a 2 min drive to get to most places in town.
Lush, green gardens and comfortable accommodation await guests at this hotel, conveniently located halfway between Cape Town and the Garden Route, in the town of Montagu.

Yes we enjoyed the breakfast. The selection was wide and the food was fresh and well prepared.
The hotel and gardens are well kept and quiet for the location right in the middle of town.
The staff were very friendly and always willing to help.

The Staff were very accommodating, very friendly and made sure everything you needed was there before you could even think about it. The facilities were very good and I had the most beautiful view. Mimosa Lodge is very large so you can pick the kind of accommodation you like. The food, especially the breakfast that was included, was the best! Top class chefs! They even baked me gluten free bread as I can't eat wheat and made me a special sauce for my Kingklip since I am allergic to dairy. Really brilliant.

A lovely clean little town located about a 2hr drive from Cape Town. Blown away with how well maintained the town is, with lots of little browsy type shops, coffee shops and restaurants. We didn't have time to hike but the trails looked great. Friendly locals. Located near to some wine farms as well.

Everything was lovely.
Everything was lovely. Excellent service, good facilities for kids. Children enjoyed the pools and play park. The astro turf for mini soccer and tennis courts are well maintained. The games room was not available for use due to a function, this was not ideal as it is part of the Montagu resort experience.and should always be open to its residents. The accommodation was reasonably comfortable and clean. The villa we stayed in is a bit dated. Generators should be used during loadshedding. All in all, a wonderful experience. I will definitely keep going back.

One of the most beautiful towns in South Africa, with mountains all round the views are beautiful throughout the year. The town has enough shops and restaurants for locals and tourists, but not so much that it becomes crowded (although I haven't been there during peak season). A good fusion between winelands and Karoo.

Montagu is a beautiful, clean and safe town.
Montagu is a beautiful, clean and safe town. We went for school rugby so did not get much time to spend sight seeing, but really enjoyed the natural beauty and friendliness of the towns' people. We had dinner at Mitchell's Pub and Grill....truly some of the most value for money and tasty rump steak I have had a very long time.

Beautiful old Cape town with many original buildings and points of interest. A walking tour around the town is pleasant as long as you steer clear of the main street and its surrounds, which are very shabby.
There are many choices of venue to have a meal if you are not fussy about food, but for fine dining you should try the Montagu Country Hotel's Charleston Restaurant.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Abundant Grace to unwind and relax after a long roller-coaster year. The accommodation was very nice, and the best part of our visit was the walking distance from our actual holiday destination Avalon Springs. The hosts Siva and Sharlene Pillay were wonderful in terms of top-notch hospitality, as well as the information shared about Avalon Springs Resorts in Montagu, best price and the surrounding area was extremely interesting.
The house was beautifully decorated and homely. All the rooms were of a good size with comfortable beds and good facilities. There's a lovely stoep looking out over the gardens and mountains- the whole place had a feeling of quiet calm
Our host Cate had very generously given us a lovely bowl of fruit and bottle of wine and also made sure there was milk in the fridge for our arrival.
The location is very good in the center of Montagu. The hotel is a boutique hotel with nice design, a nice garden and pool. The check-in process was very good, the room spacious. All the employees were very friendly. Breakfast is served personally. We got good information on hiking options and a heritage tour in the hotel.
The staff were excellent and the breakfasts wonderful.!!We found Mirihif Retreat & historic Montagu special places and an excellent location to stayt o tour the fabulous Robertson Wineries.( Only 20 minutes by car)
Note to travellers you need to book for dinner at the house best restaurants in Montagu to assure a seat!
The hotel very kindly allowed us to change dates but unfortunately in doing so, we were also moved to a different room.
The hotel is conveniently located in the town of Montagu and the restaurant, where we had dinner on the first evening was very good.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Just outside of Montagu in a little valley/gorge which is very quiet, secluded and boasts with beautiful views all around. We really enjoyed being offline since there is no cellphone reception. The chalet has a well equipped kitchen and is perfect for self catering and braais/barbecues.
Something else in Montagu, the guesthouse is on a working farm, their FIJN Botanicals are famous and for sale in their little shop. The room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was super. Free Wifi and parking. The host was really super friendly, and took great care.
What a stunning spot with breathtaking views over the farm and Montagu valley. The cottage was well equipped , clean, comfy and cosy. Incredible value for money, we will definitely be back to enjoy this little piece of paradise!
Farmlike setting in town.
Alpaca's feeding out of our hands.
Gardens are amazing.
Like a family holiday home, so very well set up.
Resident staff are fantastic with fresh cut roses in vases all over the house & bedrooms.
Beautiful surroundings in nature. Great facilities (braai with wood supplied, swimming pool, lapa, walking trail etc.). Warm hospitality with complimentary farm bread and cookies provided.
Good mountain views, thoughtfully decorated, enough space for a family of three, beautiful gardens. We had all we needed including a washing machine as well as secure parking.
Such a nice place to stop while visiting Montagu! It is a must! Warm welcome, cozy and comfortable room, excellent breakfast! We didn’t want to leave… Highly recommended!
Wonderful hosts and excellent accommodation. The welcome messages from Genevieve put the icing on the cake. Close proximity to the Montagu Springs is a definite bonus!
Location, room, pool, staff, food. The staff were very accommodating. The beds were comfy. The hotel is the centre of the town. The hotel is also very modern.
The hot tub was amazing, nice braai area and had a nice rustic feel to it. We could walk on the farm and it felt like we were alone in the middle of no where.
