The Manor House Inn ligger i Shotley Bridge, 23 km från Beamish Museum, och har en trädgård, allergivänliga rum, gratis WiFi och en bar. A family run business who make you feel warm and welcome from the time you book until you leave. The location is perfect as a base for exploring the local area. I feel I have to mention the very high standard of food. Its not the run of the mill bar food here. Its food fitting of a Manor house. I only wish we had stayed longer to try everything on the menu. All very reasonably priced as well. Real ale behind the bar and an open log fire. Large selection of drinks and food all day and the breakfast was spot on. Whether you are looking for a place to stay or after a meal with a proper local feel then you won't be let down if you give the Manor House a try. Well worth a visit.

The Saxon Inn ligger i Bishop Auckland, 43 km från Beamish Museum, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Everything! So clean and nice and the staff was very accommodating!

The Devonport ligger i Darlington, 22 km från Middlesbrough Cathedral, och har snabb in- och utcheckning, rökfria rum, en restaurang, gratis WiFi och en bar. The Hotel was a little hard to find as there were a lot of roadworks close to Darlington on A66 and the sat-nav kept bringing me back to a road that had been closed off. We eventually took an alternate route to end up at the Hotel. This had nothing to do with the hotel but anyone else travelling to this destination should be aware. Check-in was very quick and we were shown to our very spacious room with nice views from the window. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a very peaceful sleep. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful and Julie made sure everything was to our liking and made us aware of the many local areas to visit. Not having enough time on this trip we will definitely visit the area again using the Davenport as our base. Thanks Julie and all the staff.

The Ship inn ligger i Castle Eden, 2,3 km från Crimdon Beach, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en restaurang. The ship inn's location/accommodation/gardens and breakfast was excellent, couldn't ask for nicer,such welcoming hosts my wife and I felt like we were part of the furniture and most certainly will be coming back again 😃

Located in Chester-le-Street, The Lambton Worm offers en-suite bed-and-breakfast accommodation with free on-site private parking. My partner and I stay here for 7 nights, and I cannot fault it at all, clean room, lovely breakfast, we also ate in the restaurant the food was very tasty and not that pricey, all the staff were lovely and extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome, as did the locals, I’ve never visited a place where the people are so friendly. There is a real sense of community in this place, and it reminded me of my hometown. We both slept like babies every night, the bed was really comfortable This place is a little gem, right in the middle of the places we wanted to explore, Beamish 8 mins away, Whitley Bay 30 mins drive, Holy Island 1hr 30 mins, Newcastle 38 mins on the bus, the bus stop is directly outside the pub, catch the number 21 bus price was £5.10 return. We spent nearly every night in the pub, and you could see how well it was run, so big shout out the manager and all the staff. They were on the ball, tables cleared and wiped down straight away, they worked as a team like clockwork. We thoroughly enjoy are stay here and it was lovely to meet everyone.

Situated 5 minutes’ drive from the County Durham coastline, The Seaton Lane Inn - The Inn Collection Group features free on-site parking and is just over 10 miles from Durham city centre. nice and cozy staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent and drink good value for money

The Redwell Inn ligger i Barnard Castle, 19 minuters promenad från Bowes Museum, och har en restaurang, rökfria rum, gratis WiFi och en bar. Clean and staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Victoria inn ligger i Durham, inom 20 km från Beamish Museum och 24 km från Stadium of Light, och erbjuder boende med en bar och gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen samt gratis privat parkering för gäster som... Lovely stay right between the city center and Durham university. Rooms were really cosy. They don't serve breakfast. But Durham is small and cafes are in walking distance.
