An amazing city. Everything you do is memorable. The people are friendly, helpful, and courteous. Make sure you go to the Blue Mountains (all day affair) take the ferry to Manley Beach (1/2 day min), 333 bust to Bondi Beach (another 1/2 day), the Sydney Opera House (budget 3-4 hours if you take the tour) and the Chinese Gardens of Friendship.

Sydney is a very walkable city and the transit - light rail, busses and the train were all easily accessible, clean, and fast. Best meal: Thai Nesia, the massaman curry was amazing. Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge at night if you can. Ride the ferries, take the busses to the beaches and small neighborhoods. I took a private walking/food tour with "Sustainability Gem" which I would highly recommend. Her knowledge of the city and its neighborhoods is extensive. I'll be back, so much more to see and do.

I am just writing to say THANKYOU you are absolutely the Best. Your staff are just fantastic. On leaving my car in valet parking - i joked that i would not complain if it came back washed. The response came back - what would you do if that happened, and I promptly advised i would live in the Hotel forever. I was just stunned when my car was handed back to me clean...UNBELIVABLE.. You have no idea how shocked I was and how happy that made me. You are definitely my number 1 recommendation for a stay in Sydney. Please reward your staff.. they are amazing.

Although I was born and grew up in Sydney, I haven’t lived there for many years. However, while I would not want to live there again, I enjoy my trips to Sydney for various concerts and stage productions and sightseeing.
I think the addition of the light rail to public transport is wonderful.

We love Sydney especially, around Circular Quay - Botanical Garden, Darling Harbour & Chinatown/Hay Street. We almost cancelled staying in Mascot as our favourite spots were not within walking distance from Mascot but the train station was so close by so we didn't miss out on anything.

The public transport at the front door was excellent.
The public transport at the front door was excellent.
The bonus for us as we arrived on a Thursday and left on Sunday and the public transport was only $8.90 for all day travel.
The Opus card also has a peek week use of $50.00
Great location in Sydney city center. Short walk to Central train station (well connected to airport), right next to several tram lines, and next to Chinatown. About 10 minutes on the tram to get to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, and all the sights. The hotel itself was somewhat dated but it was clean, affordable, and the staff were friendly and kind. The downstairs bar was also pretty nice with reasonable prices. Overall for the price point and location this would be hard to beat for a solo traveler. Definitely recommend.
Excellent location - very close to CBD for shopping, Opera house and Quay, Botanic Gardens and Gallery, and the other way loads of amazing restaurants around Darlinghurst and the Cross. Bed extremely comfortable. Surprised to have great view including harbour in the distance. Fixtures and fittings a little old and tired but all was exceptionally clean. Not a high-end hotel but perfectly fit the bill for us - mum and daughter in Sydney for the ballet, shopping, and nice dinners. I will stay there again.
Very good value for the money and in an excellent location to explore the city. Its a short walk from the Central train station, which itself is a straight shot from the airport. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk from the front door of the hotel, both in Surry Hills and Haymarket, and the slightly more athletic (the hotel is at the bottom of a hill!) can walk to Oxford St., Darlinghurst, the CBD and the Sydney Cricket Grounds. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Location excellent, central to all attractions such as Circulat Quay, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and Sydney CBD.
Very central to light rail, trains and buses.
All staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful and professional, the room was spotless, spacious and comfortable.
Room service was excellent, very quick, the waiter was very polite and helpful and the food was delicious.
Breakfast at The Bar was delicious and well priced as was dinner, and the wait staff were awesome.
value for money/the location was fantastic - perfect for those wanting to visit the cbd and the eastern suburbs / beaches. The executive room/s is worth every penny, not many hotels in the Sydney cbd or eastern suburbs with a balcony/terrace (and a sizeae one you get with the executive suite) views are lovely, it was quiet at night, comfortable and the room had an everything you needed and extra surprises. Written by an ex Sydney sider, I will definately be back.
The room was very spacious which was nice and a great big shower. The location is perfect to get around the CBD with restaurants, bars and shops very close by as well as tram/bus stops that take you to Circular Quay (5min) or Bondi (25min). Darling Harbour and its attractions as well as the Skytower are all within a 10-minute footwalk. Last but not least the Hotel really lives up to its slogan "Old world charm meets modern comfort". This is exactly how we felt.
We needed a family room due to transit. The apartment (self-catering!) Was great: very clean, large and cozy, kitchen including dishwasher + good equipment, washing machine + dryer, very good beds, 2 bathrooms, top soundproofing, balcony, great location to the airport (we did not need shuttle offer) and supporting and friendly staff. It was one of the best hotels we had on our 3-week AUS-trip. Price-performance was also right.
Highly recommended!
My second time visiting and it’s one of my favourite Sydney hotels to stay in. From amazing staff, greeted by the concierges, to the fun staff at Dean and Nancy to the cleaners. The environment is definitely inviting and the facilities are of high luxury standard. The sleek, modern interior reminds me of New York. A wonderful city escape or a Sydney staycation. Right across from Wynyard station and the tram line easy access around the CBD.
From the impressive entrance, attentive staff, valet parking the atmosphere is set for a great stay. The Finger Wharf is a grand building in a good location within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants and the adjacent harbour bays are quite calming. The rooms, bar, breakfast area, pool and spaces in between all have a sophisticated and quirky design that sets them apart from standard hotels.
Very good hotel with shuttle to the airport. The shuttle was expensive imo at $20p/p. Could have caught a taxi for that travelling as a couple.
The hotel is quite funky and new but the beds are not as comfortable as many other hotels we’ve stayed in. The staff are super friendly and very willing to assist with anything. Overall is was a good stay if you are looking for something close to the airport.
Centrally located hotel in Sydney CBD with friendly staff. The room was nice, there was a mini fridge and bed was comfortable and linens were nice. WiFi was very good. Hotel is walking distance to many restaurants, cafes and bars. A few blocks from Museum Station and Town Hall Station so can take the train to many places - easy travel from airport. Can also take 333 bus to Bondi Beach.
The hotel is located close to the airport and easily accessible with the local bus (either to the airport or to a train station that connected to the city center). The staff was friendly and while I was not able to check in early, the hotel has lockers to put bags securely away. The room was clean and spacious - definitely fit my needs. If coming back to Sydney, I'd stay there again.
Nicely run big hostel right across the street from Central Station. Only 15 min by train to the airport and can walk to Sydney Harbour and other attractions. We had a private room with bunk beds, which was nice and clean. There are shared bathrooms on the floor. Large kitchen and dining area on another level. Lots of events organized by the hostel (ie free pizza, beach tour).
It is obvious that an effort has been made to renovate and improve, with new carpet, big TVs etc... I particularly appreciate the linen on the bed. I also loved the fact I was given some vouchers to get my breakfast from the café next door, which is very good. The location of the hotel is also great, very near to Town Hall for transport, Darling Harbour and the CBD.
Hotel is well situated, easy walking distance to office at Bangaroo and all the attractions of the harbour end of the city. Room was comfortable and well laid out, lots of space as well as wonderfully large windows with sill to sit on and take in the surrounds.
Hotel at attractice price incl breakfast close to airport and 15min walking distance to Mascot station which brings you to CBD in a few minutes.
Note Hotel Inn Express is not Hotel Inn Airport even closer to Mascot station.
It's your standard rooms-above-a-pub affair. We didn't know anything about the area but slim pickings for hotels on new years eve and we ended up here with no complaints. It was easy enough to get to the CBD or elsewhere.
Very close to Sydney Airport and Central Station. A convenience store and a supermarket near this hotel. Good restaurant, clean room, comfortable bed, and very friendly staff.
