This is an older facility - a collection of cabins or cottages clearly built many years ago. One might expect it therefore to be dowdy, or tired. However the rooms have clearly been done over and are clean and well appointed. Also, the rooms seem larger than in many newer facilities. Finally, the value is excellent. We had an easy and enjoyable stay.

Staff, owners, and facilities were top rate. We really enjoyed them all. The only downside was small bathroom, but as the Inn was an old house remodeled by the current owners, they have done an amazing job. The interior’s of the main house and the rooms is first rate. Owners Steve and John are very friendly, and as was all of the staff. The location couldn’t be better.
Gananoque is always so lovely! It was a little sleepy with not much going on in April (compared to summer). Love Joel Stone park. Fun to check out the flea market, and boutiques. There is a great forested area near the marina we walked in, but no official trails. I wish City cruises took the opportunity to run cruises the weekend we were there (only ran a cruise in eclipse Monday, and following weekend even though a lot of visitors in town this weekend for eclipse). Great indian restaurant (1000 curries) on King street, and enjoyed great sunset views from Muskie Jack Pub.

Wonderful little town.
Wonderful little town. People are friendly and the place is clean. They take great care of their corner of the world. Beautiful facilities and parks. Small downtown had plenty of shops & restaurants, Sidewalks were clear and well kept. We had a great time and will return in the summer when the season is really humming.

The breakfast was inadequate.
The breakfast was inadequate. There were NO cereals and NO fruit. Breakfast came ALL ON ONE PLATE-including the toast! Coffee came IN A MUG!. Tea was hot water in a pot with a teabag sitting on top! I had brought porridge (oatmeal) with me but I wasn't allowed to get it cooked for me, or put it myself into a microwave.

Lovely little town to explore for couple of days.
Lovely little town to explore for couple of days. Scenic location and great walks. Boat trips couple of minutes walk away. Interesting free museum to visit. We were there in mid Sept and place was very much winding down . Limited choice of boat trips , boat museum closed and many cafes/shops closed.

First and foremost, the natural beauty of Gananoque is simply breathtaking. Nestled amidst the stunning Thousand Islands region, the charm of Gananoque extends beyond its natural wonders. The town itself is a delightful blend of historic architecture, quaint shops, and friendly locals. One of the standout experiences in Gananoque is, of course, the boat tour through the Thousand Islands. Cruising through these emerald waters while learning about the history and folklore of the area is an unforgettable adventure. In conclusion, my visit left me with cherished memories.

Incredible waterfront and beach, artsy downtown with nice restaurants historic feel good shopping and parks. Cute marina. Bike friendly, lots to do. Good coffee. Good place to bring kids. Hiking trails around town, lots of public washrooms. Would definitely go back with kids in summer. The beach is tiny but beautiful with playground, washrooms. Splash pad and soft sand.
We enjoyed Ruby Manor completely and without exception. The house was built in 1905, and it maintains a lot of the original details. Our room was comfy and clean and quiet. Our hosts Brenda and Mike were both wonderful and completely accommodating. Their breakfast was 5-star ... delicious and more than enough to eat. The location is great ... just a 3-5 minute walk into town. For less than the price of a plain-Jane, chain hotel, Ruby Manor is also a bargain. We highly recommend it.
Very much felt like "we got what we paid for", and I don't mean that in a derogatory way. We just needed a clean, safe place to sleep (with a king bed!!!) as we were out and about for most of the time we were in Gananoque...and we got that! Staff were very pleasant and apologetic that they were in the midst of renovations, thought those bothered us not at all. Parking was right out front of our unit. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
Mid October the window was open and air condition on as we enter the room. With Covid we knew their could be alternative set up for breakfast but to the extent that we were offered 3 selections of breakfast and had to heat it up in the microwave in our room. We were in the quality in in Victoriaville QC on October 6 and based on the great set up offered to us we did not hesitate to book again with Quality In. In the future we will by pass this hotel
Great hotel - 9/10!
- Check-in staff was friendly and warm
- family-friendly environment with lots of other young families
- pool is great for kids, wasn’t too busy when we visited (Sunday/Monday)
- rooms were clean and we felt safe from virus, etc.
- location was perfect for young families: walk to restaurants, cruise, water front, etc.
- town and hotel are both hidden gems! (For most Torontonians anyway)
Excellent hearty breakfast. The room was clean, good sized and comfortable with a beautiful view over the St Lawrence River.
We had the use of fridge and access to a large roof terrace with bbq.
The location was very close to the town of Gananoque and the owner went out of her way to ensure that we were happy. Free parking and good WiFi reception.
We would highly recommend staying there.
Breakfasts were excellent and tailored to your likes / dislikes.
Location is very good - short walk to waterfront and restaurants.
The hosts are well informed on the town and area in general and offered good advice.
The hosts are very accommodating - could not have done more to make you feel welcome.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entire hotel is beautifully restored and appointed. The room was very nicely decorated with high quality furnishings. The room was immaculate! Bed was very comfy. John and Steve run a very nice establishment and if in the area again would definitely stay again!
The location is perfect for walking around Gananoque. The room was spacious, clean and bright with housecoats available and a luggage rack. The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and delicious baking. Colin and Peter were friendly and helpful hosts. A perfect stay.
The location is great, close to everything that we were wanting to visit, 1000 Islands, the bridge, Rockport, Brockville & Kingston. It was also close to all the restaurants & activities Gananoque offers. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The inn and property were aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast was good and a nice feature. Hotel was a very good price even for a long weekend. Room was spacious and accommodating to my mom who uses a wheelchair and walker.
The hotel room with double king beds were very spacious, clean, 10 minutes drive if you wish to take the cruise. to 1000 islands . Nice team at the counter for check in.
The facilities were super modern and clean. The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Maybe the best value in all of Gananoque.
