Kalgoorlie is an amazing township of approximately 30000 people, 1 hour from Perth by flight. The locals are very friendly and will make you feel at home here. Lots of dining options and bars to choose from. More to see and do than you would first imagine. A lovely spot for either a short or long stay. Best kept local secret - Kalgoorlie Noodle House - Laksa!

I travelled for business and kalgoorlie is a large hub of activity in my field.
This makes the population there very eclectic.
The town is quite historical and if you have time, you should explore this. It is amazing what was achieved in the 1800’s so far from a capital city. It’s still amazing now!!
The kalgoorlie known as the Wild West for its drinking and partying ways has given way to the Wild West of old. Hard working, driven and proud.

Goldfields Museum is excellent and worth scheduling in the free tour if you can - there’s one at 10.30. Super Pit lookout worth a stop and if clear try to take in Mount Charlotte Lookout at sunset. We arrived on Boxing Day be aware that quite a few restaurants and shops can be closed, some till February!

Kalgoorlie is a thriving, historically significant town that is now bustling with new resource developments
Everly Australian traveller should visit the home of Australia's greatest goldrush and longest operating gold mine in Mt Charlotte, at least once in their lifetime. Gold mining continues at the huge Super Pit, which provides a wonderful viewing platform and tours. Goldming also continues at many other nearby gold centres including Paddington, Ora Banda and Kanowna. Nickel and Lithium mining also occurs in the broader Yilgarn region, innjecting more life into the historic Goldfields.
There are many wonderful old hotels such as the Palace and Exchange as well as modern facities such Rydges and Plaza, to suit everyones taste.
You can buy gold nuggets in Hannan St and visit fascinating museums that tell the story of Kalgoorlie

The history of Kalgoorlie is so very interesting.
The history of Kalgoorlie is so very interesting. The battles of hardship are amazing and heart breaking. The stories that the museums have on display were just so well presented. We travelled further afield, and visited Gwalia, Leonora and Menzies. Truly an experience to see the vast land. Having a dog was a trial when it came to eating at various places, no outside amenities. Kalgoorlie's streets are easy to navigate. The only thing that we would avoid is never to travel there in the hot seasons.

Finding a spot to have a picnic lunch was 7min out from the cbd. Finding shade in either places was scarce. The Big Pit Tour was well worth the journey. The Red tram was also worth the it The individual shops in Hannan St are similar to other towns. Only passing through there would be other shopping areas in the suburbs.
Perfect location - within walking distance to shops and the centre of Kalgoorlie. The single donga style room is quite small but adequate, with a comfortable bed and a small bathroom. Use of the laundry is free. The kitchen, located in the main part of the guest house, is fully equipped with crockery and cooking utensils. The location is quiet. WiFi is not available. Bruna, the proprietor, is a wonderfully kind lady, and she and her husband 'made' my stay in Kalgoorlie all the more special.
Great service. When i got to reception. They could not find the booking in their system. So they booked me into an upgraded room for the evening. I had paid for a queen room and was upgraded to a family room with bathroom, toilet, 3 bds and a kitchen. The Tower Hotel has a large dining and bar area with many dining options and activities on the evening. The next day after checkout I realised I had left my phone charger and the staff happily opened up to let me retrieve it.
The room was clean, tidy and very well presented with a useful range of good quality facilities (kettle, Toaster, tea, coffee etc.) and offered excellent value for money, far greater than many other places I've stayed in Kalgoorlie-Boulder over the years.
The bed was very comfy and much better than expected.
The service in the bar was excellent and the beer was correctly cold!
The security gate was reassuring and will definitely stay again.
The Palace is like an elegant old lady showing signs of age - which is exactly what we wanted.
We liked everything about the hotel and enjoyed our meals in the restaurant.
The staff were all friendly and really helpful and our rooms were quiet and very clean.
Our guests from the UK were delighted with their stay.
The room was larger than expected. The shower was hot and had really good water pressure. I basically booked hotel accommodation over a private stay, because I wanted air conditioning. The air conditioning was very effective. The bed was very comfortable. There was no audible outside noise.
It can get noisy in the centre of town. It was lovely and quiet at the Rydges. A full breakfast was included each day of our 5 day stay. The gardens were lovely. We had a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.
A lovely vintage property in the middle of Kalgoorlie.
Had a lovely large room with lots of space for three people.
Rooms are a little dated but still very functional.
Hotel has a two bars and a restaurant attached. The restaurant is very nice and does some lovely food.
Very spacious house situated not far away from the pubs and city centre of Kalgoorlie. The house was spotless and had even a water filter in the kitchen / laundry room. The owner was very accessible and flexible as I booked last minute. I would come back here any time.
Great location, large room with great view of Kalgoorlie from cute balcony. Aircon worked well even on the 45 degree weather had! Neat and clean. Apple TV with easy access to streaming apps. Staff were helpful and friendly. Later checkout of 11am was really helpful.
Don't stay anywhere else! Jason was super helpful to us, as was Alicia with some challenges we had. Room was clean and the bistro has good food. Right in downtown Boulder in Historic Burt St. and the bus to Kalgoorlie leaves right outside the door. All great.
Historical house in the heart of Kalgoorlie. Rooms were large and comfortable. The accommodation was immaculately clean and tidy. Very pleasant to sit outside in the garden with a cup of tea in the morning or beer/wine in the afternoon.
The bed was super comfy
The lady at the front desk was lovely
Nice rooms
Not too far from the city centre and secluded enough to not get all the Kalgoorlie noise
Location and the hotel is still generally well maintained from its chain hotel days. Restaurant and bar facility good. All the staff interactions were good.
Swimming pool. Location walk to coles and kalgoorlie town. Modern amenities and AC in the rooms. Dishwasher and washing machine. $290 a night in summer.
