Rooms were ok, and comfortable they could be way better if some maintenance was done. Overall very clean, but given that everything is outdated it gives a poor impression

San Carlos has become a weekend party town. Lots of noise, booze and fun. You need a car to get around.
Lots of good restaurants. Blackies. Mariscos del rey. Barracuda bob’s is great for breakfast and has good wifi.

It is a friendly, safe, convenient smallish beach community of the "just right" size--with lots of activities, restaurants, beach and water sport options, shopping, entertainment, but generally rather quiet, uncrowded (except Easter time), unlike Cancun, Acapulco, etc.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful, mountains, sea, desert, has it all. Everything is reasonably priced. HOWEVER, if you want to do anything, boating, fishing, ATV, Rental it is very difficult to find information either on the internet or in person. I have visited SC a dozen or more times and have not yet been able to explore the area other than by foot. SC is perfect for seniors and the people are very friendly.

In recent times, San Carlos has developed into a premier resort. Great variety in good restaurants. Good facilities for watersports. Good special events such as the Parade of Yachts on Christmas Eve. Good live music. Very friendly people.
We got a great room with a view of the marina and the petones. Free parking was onsite and near the elevator to our floor. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant for dinner our first night, and found great breakfast place ( Baracudda Bobs ) a short walk in the marina, and another dinner place ( Tortugas ) a short walk away. We only used one of the full beds which was very supportive. Walking around in the hotel requires few steps with lots of ramps for people with mobility problems,
Relaxing tranquil retreat in San Carlos. Like being transported to a private oasis, this B&B was a hidden gem in San Carlos we were delighted to find. The host is a vibrant Light and made us feel like family. The beds were comfortable, towels were plush, toiletries excellent and atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing with a wonderful moutain view. This is the only place I would stay in San Carlos.
The apartment had everywhere needed…it was clean…it was almost new….good wifi…very quiet. Small, but very well thought out use of space,, so works well for 2 people. The location is in a quiet local residential area…it is not close to the tourist action…which was good for our style of travel.
The room was super spacious and the view amazing, same as the bath tube outside and the warm pool (sauna was off) for a chilly day. The food was great, staff, everything! The sofa was very comfortable, great size and firm, not like many others you find in hotels.
This hotel has a lovely pool, surrounded by palm trees. Such a delight to look at. The beds are very comfy and the room we had was very spacious with a bar counter and fridge. Plenty of parking with a friendly watchman.
The location was the best, overlooking the beach and the front desk guys were all fantastic and very accommodating. The water was perfect at the beach and in the pool. The only thing missing was an ATM.
No restaurant available, very nice views, site is in a great location w/ beach front amenities. walking distance to near by restaurants and bars, but stores and other amenities was a drive from location.
This is an extremely reasonable hotel and about the only thing available in San Carlos when I booked it. The bed was very comfortable, the room very big and the location pretty centrally located
Three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The size of the unit is ample. The kitchen has all needed cooking equipment. A great alternative to spending money at a hotel and buying meals.
the location along the beach front is very nice and they take dogs. The pool looked pretty nice but we didn't swim. The restaurant/ bar is good with a rooftop terrace
