Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.

Very hospitable host family with a cute yard and lots of nice attention to details in the room. Yennie offers many interesting local tour options, and self-guided tour routes if you want to bike around and explore on your own. Also nice plus on host's commitment to sustainability. Feel water filter system and re-used items in her garden everywhere, very heartwarming to see! You should support this family if you go to Vinh Long

She arranges motorbike rentals, tours and booking a bus for your next trip without any commission. She speaks German and English. The homestay is fairly new and superclean. The beds are really good en the airco is noiseless. The food is delicious and freshley made and really cheap. I would come back any time. Our host ( mom ) cooked us a great breakfast every morning and her authentic dinners were so delicious 😋. Her daughter and mom also helped too. Cold beer, wine and water are available as well as relaxing hammocks. We watched the sunset just next door which is a 5 minute walk. The tour that she organizes is also great!😊
