Bundy is good for brief stays to do specific activities such as turtle watching or trips to the reef. Surrounding countryside is fine as long as you like looking at cane fields and macadamia orchards. Local pubs and clubs are OK for meals. The town is a bit tired, with many shops closed or for lease.

Bagara & Bundaberg are both very pleasant places to stay in. We were only there for a couple of days, and it rained most of the time. We intend to go again, and this time go to Lady Musgrave Island. As our trip had to be cancelled as the weather was bad & it was too rough. There is a lot to see & do around Bundaberg. It's a very nice & friendly place.
Next time we would like to stay for a week if we can.

We traveled to Bundaburg for the Lady Musgrave Island excursion - that was amazing and completely worth the time. However, the town itself is a bit dated/boring - the only thing we really enjoyed were the bats at dusk.

There is so much fresh produce you can buy direct from the farmers. They sell on market place, when you get there they have an honor system. There is the bundaberg distillery, gin factory and if you want a nice meal you could try the Brothers Sports Club also grunskes restaurant they also sell fresh fish best prawns I've tasted in awhile. Also try the old bundy tavern they have great lunches and a cold beer to wash it down 😉

Great little town, very close to Great Barrier Reef (southern tip of the Reef is less crowded and is the best!) experience and boat to the fabulous Lady Musgrave Island.
Plenty of places to eat and shop.
Loved the trees full of colourful yapping birds in the town centre!

The location was convenient to the train which was our mode of transport to Bundaberg. It had room for parking the car we hired. The room was clean and tidy. The fresh milk instead of long life milk was a nice bonus for the morning cuppa.
Good location for holiday in Bundaberg. Within easy distance to shops, cinema etc. Good parking at the facility. Cabin mostly self contained for meals and everything supplied that we needed. Plenty of power outlets. Room was clean.
The staff was very helpful as our train arrived two hours late and they stayed and were able to help us at 8:45 pm. Great location to the train station and walking to downtown Bundaberg. We had a great breakfast at King Royal.
Really quiet and well appointed Bed and Breakfast on a lovely lush property. Only a few minutes out from Bundaberg City Centre. The breakfast options were lovely and the couple that own it were very hospitable!

This hotel costs just a little extra but is a great hotel. Very friendly check in staff and exceptionally clean and comfortable room in a superb location so close to everything.
Location was great, close to our function venues and city centre hotels and restaurants.
We enjoyed the bar and restaurant next door for happy hour cocktails and dining.
