Good location, big kitchen and lounge area, very affordable. I have no complaints. It was very quiet during the night, but I’m under the impression that I was the only guest. Shared bathroom has only 2 toilets and 2 showers.

Brilliant place to stay for a private escape. Host was so attentive with everything you could want available. Distance to town just a short walk. Cottage so comfortable, warm and cosy. The place to stay in Bright.

The location in Bright was close to the centre and it had optional lovely access to the centre by walking on a track by the river into town. This easy access to walk to town via this track was a definite highlight of our stay. Beautiful well-cared gardens surrounded the Tudor-style villas. Heating was by a wood fire or by reverse cycle air conditioning in the lounge area and we found the wood fire worked very well in warming the place as we were there when it was -1 degree overnight. Access to a shared washing machine and dryer was also handy.
Just a 5-minute drive from the heart of Bright, Chestnut Tree Holiday Units offers an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a tennis court.

Perfect sized 2 bedroom apartment with front verandah and enough kitchen implements to get by. All facilities on a wonderful property we could want - parking, swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court, BBQ shelter, kids playground, beautiful gardens especially spectacular in autumn. Units 1-4 are cottage style, 5-10 are unit blocks above carparks. We were in end unit 5. Note, this place is 5mins drive from town.

Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty.
Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty. This trip we didn't venture beyond town having done sightseeing drives before. We enjoyed our strolls beside the river from the central area on well marked walking tours. The restaurants we visited to purchase meals to take away to sit by the river were served by polite, cheerful and personable staff on each occasion, and were beautiful.

Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo.
Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo. Some nice but expensive restaurants. The bright pub brewery is going downhill, a few years ago it was far better, the food now is terrible and the beer is uninteresting. Very sad. Third visit to bright but I guess we won’t return soon.

Bright is a wonderful town.
Bright is a wonderful town.
There are many activities and sites for people to do and visit.
I recommend booking a bike if you want to tour the surrounding areas. Otherwise, there are fantastic walking tracks around the town.
The town is beautiful in summer and more so in Autumn, when most of the leaves have turned golden brown or red.

The prettiest town we have seen.
The prettiest town we have seen. The Autumn trees are stunning as were the beautiful tree lined streets. The river has so much history with gold mining and caters for all in terms of fishing, cycling, walking and swimming. A village like atmosphere that offers great restaurants and is central to other tourist sites in the area such as Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Falls Creek.

Beautiful riverside town.
Beautiful riverside town. Popular with holiday makers enjoying the river when hot. Lovely walks along the river. Plenty of options for food and drink in the lovely tree lined town. A good start to hire bikes for the rail trail.
Good location close to the town center. Close to the ovens river and walking trails. There is a nice walking trail just behind the hotel. There is a nice spot for a Picnic by the river close by. The rail trail bike ride was also located close by. Pet friendly is the major draw card for this property. We would never stay here if we didn't have a dog.
Cabin was clean and everything worked as it should. Plenty of hot water. Liked being a short distance from Bright, nice and quiet, but close enough to easily drive to restaurants etc. Good communication by the owners on our day of arrival, checking in was a breeze. We were also able to check out an hour later than normal which was great 😃
Great location and plenty of parking available. Perfect for a single night stay as we headed to Mt Hotham the following day. We ate at the pub and the food and service was perfect. The room was as expected and was good value for money. If we were staying in town for a weekend, I'd definitely get a bigger hotel room at an alternate location.
The location was decent - we were able to walk into the centre of town (some people might think it was a bit far, but 20 min walk for the price was ok for us). The room was fully prepared for cold weather - extra blankets, space heaters, etc. There was a great amount of space in the family suit.
The motel is close to the town centre and right on the river. The unit was clean and everything worked. The owners were polite and friendly. The coffee machine and supplied capsules were a welcome touch. The tariff was very competitive for Bright. Very good value.
The chalet is extremely relaxing and you don’t feel like you’re in a hotel. The grounds and back lawn area is beautiful and away from the noise of central Bright.
The rooms were very clean and the staff extremely friendly and great service.
Beautiful location in the quiet streets of Bright. Gorgeous, cozy and very comfortable cottage. Lovely balcony and view. Hosts were very welcoming. So much to see and do in Bright and surroundings.
The property was clean and comfortable and pet friendly. No hidden extra charges when you add a person or a pet to the booking makes this a great property around Bright.
Peaceful with pleasant gardens. Excellent, spacious, comfortable, well appointed accommodation which suited us very well for a break from visiting family.
