I had an absolutely delightful stay at Vera Hotel in Ballarat! From the moment I arrived, the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The building itself is stunning—expertly restored to blend historical charm with modern conveniences. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the bath was nothing short of amazing. The location couldn't be more perfect for exploring Ballarat. I would definitely recommend Vera Hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future!

Ballarat is terrific.
Ballarat is terrific. Full of history, culture and shopping. Lake Wendouree and the Botanic gardens are always a delight. Lunch at Craigs Hotel Atrium was very special and a good price. The Gallery always has something new to see as the exhibits change often. Eureka Stockade museum is a really good exhibition and tells the story of the Rebellion. The King Bakery on Sturt street has THE BEST vanilla slices and meat pies. Yellow Espresso next door does a great coffee too. Op shops are well situated. Messer & Opie is a really nice Men's & Women's clothing shop in the Bridge street Mall. Although Ballarat is more hilly than you'd think walking around the area is still easy.

I would have liked to have walked in the downtown area but I didn't know how to pay for parking.
The main purpose of being in Ballarat was to visit Sovereign Hill which we could have spent so much more time at. This was better than we had expected.
Friendly staff, great performances and there was a feeling of going back to different times in history.

Ballarat is a historical gem, it reeks of history everywhere you go and is easy to get around. The restaurants, cafes, pubs and people we met were all great. We have been several times now and we will go back as the region has plenty to offer . If you go in winter, rug up.

Excellent accommodation. Worth every cent given the comfort and ambience. Great luxury rooms, clean beds, very cozy and effective heating given the 4/5 cold nights during our stay.
Highly recommend the place given the location / poximity to the main hub. The facilities in all, bathroom + beds + sofa - all excellent.
Thank you
Newly built, spacious and great location! Opposite is a fantastic restaurant which makes it easy for dinner option. Lovely Hampton’s style decor with modern appliances. The bathroom was a luxury escape, the heat lamp helped with warming the floor tiles on a cold night. Great air-conditioner/heater. Netflix in the room was a bonus.
Lovely and thoughtfully updated heritage hotel in the centre of Ballarat, so close to the food/drink laneways, art gallery, shops. I arrived at the railway station and it was a very quick walk to the George. Elegantly presented and comfortable. Very helpful staff who willingly found me peppermint teabags late at night.
Don’t judge a book by its cover!! We were so pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. It was clean and spacious for our family of 4, with a big bathroom with big fluffy towels. It’s in a great location, (close to sovereign hill which was a bonus for us) and was really well priced. Huge bed too!
The house had absolutely everything we needed for our family. It was exceptionally clean, modern and comfortable. The house was located a short drive away from all of Ballarat’s highlights. Would certainly stay here again and highly recommend to others. Thank you to the host for the excellent communication.
The location is excellent, central, close to the Ballarat Art Gallery, and a short walk from Ballarat train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and I definitely recommend it. The Wi-Fi was very good and reliable. All in all, I had a very comfortable stay.
Beautifully restored historic hotel in the heart of Ballarat. Nice bar, decent restaurant, trad. comfort rooms. Parking on site - although we had to ask for directions at reception. We ate in the restaurant, decent food, relaxing surroundings. Really enjoyed our stay. Recommended.
We loved Hotel Vera, an exceptional property in a brilliant location - you can walk to all of the facilities in central Ballarat easily. Beautifully curated and designed, and a super comfortable bed. The owners are amazing and can recommend lots of different eating places.
East 34 is beautifully furnished and decorated with a full sized kitchen, dining and lounge areas. With large bedrooms in separate areas of the house, it is perfect for two couples. The property is centrally located and is walking distance to supermarket and cafes.
A really charming holiday house, beautifully redecorated in a glamorous style. Conveniently located a short walk from Ballarat CBD, with pubs, supermarket and the train station an easy walk away. Owners ensured a welcoming packet of timtams as a special treat!
Great room; quiet; spa was excellent; bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for short or longer stays. have booked again for this coming Friday and need to do some business in Ballarat on Saturday
the absolute cutest house with really cool deco, right next to cafe for a yummy breakfast and close to a pub for dinner, also close to ballarat station. the freebies were really thoughtful as well with bobby pins etc.
Very clean & tidy. Bed was large & comfortable. Bathroom large & clean. Staff were very friendly at check out, querying how well we slept. The location of the hotel is very convenient - we could walk everywhere.
The hotel was really lovely, with its beautiful classic style but with modern comforts. The breakfast was also delicious and staff friendly and helpful. It was conveniently located in the centre of town.
Brilliant boutique hotel- So clean and comfortable. Gorgeous historic building renovated to the highest standard. I would not stay anywhere else in Ballarat! Can’t wait to go back some day.
